EPIC pod that is amazing!!!! awesome lighting, awesome background, overall awesome photography combined with amazing riding from an amazing rider means one hell of an ace POD!!!! mad props!!!!
love it. that looks like an awesome DJ Id like to see the rest of that set. oh and not to forget... absolutely sick trick to pull on the trails!
It's because they are photoshopped. But only to enhance certain visual effects and such; Never to give the illusion of the rider being better than they actually are.
Good POD, amazing colors.

hue/saturation tool? ha ha!!!
Thats almost definitely HDR photography and probably was done in photoshop. I still just do not understand why people ridicule others for using photoshop. You'd be hard pushed to find any professional photographer who doesn't, it doesn't make a bad photographer good!!! It just a great tool. And it looks like it been used here to create a HDR photo, where 2 or more pictures taken at different exposures, have been combined to create a photo which covers a larger dynamic range (read; lighting) than is possible in just one photo. (HDR = High Dynamic Range) It looks great and is hard work to get right.
So huge props for doing it well, sick photo and sick riding!! POD.

im pretty sure thats photoshoped cause the light on the tree and jumps is nothing like the light on the jumps but w/e its still a pretty cool looking pic
we all know its been edited on photoshop but the guy still had to do the f*ckin jump, the editing is to make it look cool so can we all stop whining about photoshop and appreciate what the photographer has done!?
wat you just said makes no sense "cause the light on the tree and jumps is nothing like the light on the jumps" so the light on the jumps is nothing like the light on the jumps?...
hmmm...
hmmm...
I second what repa224 said! Wow! Someone didn't pay attention in literature class. Photography is art, much like painting is art. If the photographer decides to modify the picture, any way he / she chooses to, it is because he creatively believes it is more pleasing to the eye that way. Hence why so many people have cameras, so they pursue an interest in photography / art. If only one person in the world owned a camera for the soul purpose of riding shots we would get sick and tired of seeing the same style all of the time. Almost every photo in every magazine you buy is photo shopped at one point or another.
light on the tree is different than the lip? see that big bright light under the tree, its called a flash, its a bright light that makes things near it look brighter.
and of course its photoshopped a bit, but its not like its a picture of a guy doing an x-up and he flipped him over and put it over a jump... its just filters and adjusting the colors a bit.

does it look like a bmx bike???? Huh, maybe because it is one buddy. Sick POD. Definetly deserved it.

no that aint photoshopped ..cuz go to google and type in his naem he does a bunch of crazy stuff to.......sweet pic man POD for sure
super sweet, though i guess it is overworked in ps - i mean nothing bad with that.. every photographer uses ps to enhance his pictures. though this were too much.

Definitely one of the best, if not the best pic I've ever seen on here. The colours from the sky, the amplitude and style of the rider, the backlit jump faces and tree, and the sun setting on the horizon. Gots to be one of the best all around pics I've seen.
hey whats the problem to ride a Kona???? I ride one to....
and by the way kempk we all some time in our live ride a Bmx....

to reillye746, posted right up the top, are you dumb, thats cam white, you dont need to photoshop a pic with him in it to get a good one, and can easily make pod, but i really dont think it should, the only reason is that the user (tuggersrat) has gone onto cam whites myspace, stole the photo off it and posted it on here. True pods should be a display of your own talented photography, not somebody elses

i think it only really matters if things are shopped if they are changed drastically. I mean so what if it is shopped. Cool pic.
i ask anyone to go up to a photographer and ask them if they use photoshop on their photos! 99.9... actually, 100% will say they did use photoshop or lightroom or something similar in some way to enhance the photo, even if it is a crop.. a crop is photoshop! god all you people wining about photoshop get a f*cking cock up ya', and for f*cks sake grow up and apreciate the photographers work and the rider presented! And as for the sky, that isnt photoshopped, thats what our sunsets are like down here very often..
Also, for the people saying 'omg the light is different on the tree..' there are two remote flashes douche bags, maybe even three..

Haha, good one Patto! ^-^
It's an amazing photo and definately deserves POD. The trick, the lighting, the sky, the angle, the jumps... all awesome.
Any chance of a higher resolution version for desktop wallpaper use?

for al you guys saying its photo shopped look at the angle of the light against the bank and tree's its probely light used to make the picture clearer on the end of a day so it aint foto shopped.
alright his is how it goes down, he obviously photoshopped it to enhance it......looks like he used the background enhance tool to enhance the background, the picture is real, just enhacned.........deff a good pod.

This picture is f*cking great. This is one of those rare, POD-worthy shots (Gnar). Why all the beefing over photoshop? Let's be honest here: photoshop makes pictures look good. If we wanted shitty PODs, we could stop putting up photoshopped pics. Then everyone would complain about how shitty all of the PODs look. A lot of people have lost track of why we're here. It's because we love biking, not talking shit. Mechanics use tools, so do photographers. It's not like they photoshop in the rider, they make the contrast better, brighten colors, sharpen image, etc......The bottom line is: If you talk shit about photoshopping. you are not only a bad photographer and rider, but you are also GAY. For every photoshopped picture you complain about, I will personally photoshop three more photos. Ok a*sholes? Stop being gay.

who gives a shit if its shopped, its still an amazing shot and flip. get over it.
WELL DESERVED POD!!!
WELL DESERVED POD!!!
Anyone else think that its funny that a million people flipped out about using p/s but no one noticed that the rider isn't at all sharp?
This picture is awesome i'm glad i logged on today and seen it cuz it's hella dope.
As for all the noobs hating on photo shop i think ( Patto ) said it best.

Wow nice pic!!!! congrats!!!!!!! nice sunset!!!!!!!! nice bike!!! nice trick!!!!!!! i would love to see it in person!!!!!!!! POD for sure!!
i'm sorry if i'm suspicious now,but you can do it with paint or gimp or any other program..but if the rider really did it,i just can congratulate him
good pic anyway
very nicely done, and one of my faves. I am sure the jump is real, and I don't care about color correction. Do it to my shots as I am often using a P&S.
nice shot, but you can see the pxelation around the rider, which means it may have been taken out of a seperate image. You can also see how blurry he is. Great background and lighting!

Yes, this epic photo is photoshopped. It looks as though that there are floodlights at the jump site, so when the photographer took the photo, there was a bit of a lens flare. What some photographers tend to do with lens flares (because they are never that full and bright) and us the Photoshop filter - Lens Flare to enchance to scenery.
Otherwise: EPIC!
Otherwise: EPIC!

To all the "thats photoshopped" twats. even the best photographers use photoshop to enhance their photos. it's not a bad thing and the guy who shot this POD is probably way better than you, so if your criticism isn't constructive f**k off. And to the guy above me, your disrespectful and are you sure it wasn't your own mother?...
stop asking people if this pic is pod worthy if it is it will be pod(probly not) awesome pic by the way
