Probably one of the most scary spots I have ever ridden. Beeing close to the ocean you had to deal with unforseable wind gusts and a surface that would cut you into pieces if you fall. worth it though.
Selected by Scott Secco - Erik is the master of self portraits and this shot is another winner. I really like the composition and use of shadow on this one (although I will say the rectangle shadow on the left is driving me crazy).
Count how many square stones are in the shot, I dare you. @scottsecco Now that you've pointed out the rectangle shadow it sticks out like a sore thumb. I keep cropping it with my hand and the flow gets better.
Portugal uses those stones for flooring, they're called calcadas, but brazil also uses them aswell, don't think i've seen that technique used in many other countries??
The description says it's close to the ocean. There's no ocean near Halle, Germany. Big chance it is indeed Portugal as that is one of the few places in Europe that has direct contact with an ocean.
Then again you never know since Germans call a lake a 'sea' (See) and the sea they call Meer, which means lake in Dutch. German is confusing languague when it comes to water
