yup, that's the best way to gauge if you can rock 650b wheel on a 26" fork ----

just had a guy looking to put a 29er wheel on a Niner WFO using a 26" fork --- I poked around for options but everyone said --- hello no, not an option..

I called Manitou and they actually had four 29er Dorado Pro's in stock --- they're older models that they no longer make but, ha- go figure... I missed the memo on that. never knew they made a 29er version of the Dorado.

I thought they would look wierd/different but pretty similar to the regular 26/27.5

WHAT...... They make a 29" Dorado? Well that flew past the radar quickly.

yeah --- I totally missed the memo on the 29er Dorado --- it twern't nuttin' I'd be stocking for sure cause that's not a fork you'd see on any typical 29er. most of the 29ers I sell are 120 to 140ish in travel, more along the XC, all mountain-ish range

I only found out about cause a guy asked if he could buy a 650b Dorado from me, then drop the Dorado on a Niner WFO he bought...I called Manitou to see if the 650b could handle a 29er wheel.. that's when they told me they had four of them left...

four left? I didn't know ya made one.... ha!!! go figure.

This has made me wonder...... what else is out there? What other stuff have they made that we don't know about?

im not up on the intenals so dont mock but what are the advantages of running these exact internals?

Shiver originally only came with spring preload and low speed rebound.adjustment. The Avalanche carts let you tune everything from low to high speed damping and hydraulic ramp up at the end of stroke etc. I would never mock anyone who asks legit questions, every day is school day for me too

The gold shiver i have is a cheaper way of adding all these adjustments by modding/using cartridges from a 888 RC2X
