Small test of new camera over a drop midway down the course. The drop's not massive but the point was to see if I could sequence photos like this.

Yes, in the middle of the wooded section, with some horrid s bends between it and the gap, the run-out (and the whole bloody track) is just so worn out I don't ride there anymore >

I don't actually know who's responsible for the track upkeep, might look into that!

Not hard to find out...he's in the phone book (but a nightmare to work with). Why the interest anyway?

Well because it could be a decent riding spot, if the fiver you're supposed to pay for 'upkeep' actually did anything

It does...if a tree falls across the track they send in a cutter. Some of it goes towards organising events, maintenance of the car-park, toilets etc. It doesn't pull in that much money if you consider how much groundworks cost (let alone his taxes). It's only a few of the switchbacks and the sketchy 4-pack that need attention really and that just takes a few people going up there with spades for a week. Smile

I don't get why all trail centers use diggers so much, sure its awesome, but what happened to the good old shovel?!

The shovel is still alive and kicking, but a digger is an amazing thing when there's big earthworks to be done (not to mention Somerset folk are a bit too laid back for all that manual labour malarky lol )

lol It's a great track (it's bitten me a few times), it was an NPS track back in the day. There's just a few little bits that need some tlc.
