The seat tube is straight gauge and the BB part is much thicker (2-3 times) - the weld should have been bigger, or even better they could have done a small step on the bottom part that inserts a bit into the seat tube. Or just a thicker butted seat tube. The frame is too stiff and instead of flexing it just broke at the weakest point. I'm getting some good advice regards welding and annealing over at the Home made bikes thread.

 We'll see, there was a guy who can weld and heat treat it locally but he was heat treating it with the paint still on the frame, so....

 @brigand: it wouldn't stay on long, it's gonna burn baby burn! once it's annealed the stress that caused the fracture will be all gone..with fresh paint and decals it'll be like new bro get him to anneal the whole frame

 Loša kvaliteta, zavariću pa vozit dok se ne nabavi nešto bolje. Nisu Lv, Nicolai i sl na ceni bez razloga.

 Indeed, happened a couple of months ago but did not want to post pics before i sorted the warranty.... which i was denied because i was 10 days too late. Didn't even know the frame only had 2 year warranty, it looked to me indestructible.

Think others did also, never imagined this ^ ... not impressed with their warranty either.. considering they could have turned it all round with a simple gestyure..not like it cost them more than a few hundred quid .. poor form Nukeproof

 @ColinD: Bought it from a German retailer, he's not carrying NP anymore.NP don't have any front triangles in stock anymore, asked them to sell me one.

 @brigand: damn.. yes,that is bad work, good job you came out of this unscathed bro.. well,apart from your wallet (not funny). Well, i aint going anywhere near NP now, i was seriously looking at the 29er too as is imo sexy .. bollox to it now though (maybe they tidied up their engineering by now?)
