I like those wood blocks on the clamp idea. Can I ask do you guys grease your headset cups before pressing them in. I've read quite a bit about this and people say to do it either way so... I pressed 2 Hope headsets in without grease and I'm thinking it was a mistake tbh. Maybe why they seemed harder than expected to press in...going by what people say about being able to knock them in with wood and hammer...no way I could have done that with mine...maybe I should have greased the cups!. I couldn't ever imagine they'll come out very easily either now..!!

I try to grease all metal to metal fitment points. Keeps any moisture out and makes it easier to install and remove. I'm just crazy like that I guess

 Grease or Copperslip always.
Copperslip prefferably, as it stops any metal-metal reactive binding.
The bluntness of the tool can be mitigated by the precision of the user. Wink
(or exacerbated in the hands of a monkey!)

Lol.. I was tiered of using a piece of wood and a hammer to install my headset and I'm not spending $100+ on a tool.

Yeah I've had some big frustrations before but there are good ones out there that will take good care of you. Still, for a build I like to be self sufficient

It does work well and took a few minutes to make from pieces I had lying around
