This thing is a FR legend!
I would love to try out its elegant geometry!
I actually like the old FR geometry over the new age stuff!
Can you mail it to Japan for a month?
I will do testing on it! hahahahhaha

After two years at the Schnaittach condo I've moved the Wildsau back to my house again. For the time being, there is only the On-One Inbred at Schnaittach,

Reminds me of Banshee Scream Big Grin

The Alutech Wildsau has got the Horst link and is not as heavy as the Scream Big Grin
  • 2 0
@slackliner: most Banshee Screams weigh in over 20 kg s built up.
i bet this is much lighter!
This bike would feel quite at home on any of the world's nastiest trails.
from Red bull rampage to north shore hucks to flat!

@Sshredder: The Wildsau is 18+ kg.

 WOW..... I really wan't a go!

I like the components you have chosen, raceface kit is always a good bet.

Is that a 66 fork?
  • 1 0
Right, 66 VF2, raceface stem, bar, and grips too! Smile

@slackliner: oh thats even better, VF2 open bath duel damper for rebound. I love VF2 equiped marz forks, one of my fav systems and great to work with. You can get a good custom feel to them with a litle work and know how.
I miss mine, i used to have two. 2006 DJ2 VF2 (coil) and a 2006 All Mountan 1 VF2 150mm travel (air).

A freind of mine has a set of 888's with a VF2 that i have worked on, they are brilland too, they system seems to work well accross all types of fork. Marz did a good job.I hope you enjoy yours! Smile

 @Bomb-Boy-1985: Mine is a 2006 170mm coil, very reliable.

@slackliner: I have always felt that 2006 marz forks are the best. Has yours been modified, 06 66's are usualy 180mm travel?

Is it a "after market" fork?
  • 1 0
@Bomb-Boy-1985: You're right, it's probably 180mm travel with 200mm at the rear and yes, it's an after market fork.
  • 2 0
@slackliner: Definatly 180mm. Great fork! Any chance of a vid edit of you riding her, would like to see that! Smile

@slackliner: Great vids, thank you for the links Smile Love the way it rides...... and the RF evolve stem suits the 66's.

@slackliner: yours is an italian job. The good stuff.
  • 1 0
@Sshredder: Nowadays it's hard to decide what to choose.
  • 2 0
Yeah, Italian models are far better made. Their mx department was failing and they tried putting all their eggs in one basket. In doing so they moved their mtb opperations to cut costs and then semi neglected it. As a result some forks were produced with poor damper designs and quality issues. 08/09 55's tst2's were one of the worst affected forks.

These days we have so much choice when it comes to forks/shocks. In one way it's a good thing, and in another it's not. Most suspention these days is as good as the next give or take, as long as companys put quality over quantity first.
