i've been freeriding on bike that can't take any more abuse as it was made for xc and was wondering what would be a good bike that doesn't cost a ton ( over $2000) and is a quality bike, i am an experienced rider and full sus would really make be better any suggestions?

NO NO don't get this bike, bit hypocritical cause i've got the 04 model lol!!!!!! Get either the SPECIALIZED FSR II BIG HIT (absolutely amazing bike with amazing components perfect for freeriding and what you say u ride ----- or ----- the DEVINCI FRANTIK I(which is amazing aswell has the perfect geometry for freerider) Both of these a little over $2000 i think but so worth saving for! OR if your willing to get the NORCO SHORE 2 or 3 are both the best freeriding bikes you can buy, quoted by many bike mags, they are the best

I personally have ridden the 07 coiler and its amazing, A killer bike for regular trail riding, jumps drops, gaps, Stuff like that, I have an 06 model and i got it set up for downhill right now and it works pretty damn nice, I'd say a coiler is a good choice, 6 inches is definitely enough travel and it can be setup for anything. Check out my coiler in my album.. Oh and it has maxxis high roller 26X2.5's on it now. They rule.

yea the bighit 2's are nice, it might be different in america than the UK, but for the price you want to spend I would rather look on ebay because you will get bikes with much better spec, where as if you buy brand new you will just have standard parts
