i dont think he is half bmx and half mountain, he rides bmx so he can do all those hard technical tricks on his big bike and i think he used to be into bmx, same with bass

thats an amazing shot but i dont think it should be POD, he is a pro rider so he should be gettin POD every day of the week, i think POD should be of some non pros, its still an amazing shot tho.
y shudent pros get pod after all it is called PICTURE of the day not rider of the day so if the picture is good then it should get pod no matter who the rider
exactly, this is a pro rider, but the photographer is not a professional. Rob is a great photographer (check his album), but he makes a living doing other things. POD is about the picture and how rad it is.

Bearclaw bags his third POD that i can remember - the awesome superman seatgrab on the funky SX, which is still my desktop background, the pic for NWD8 where the table was so flat that it dodn't even look like he was riding a bike, and now this sick piece of trickery. BEARCLAW FOR THE WIN IN PARIS - Paul Bas ain't got the style of the Claw.
they ride different styles. paul bas does dird jumps and bear claw does extreme freeride/slope style. they're both the top of their respective classes so who cares?
either way they could both school any of us soo who cares if they could go bigger then eacher its not for us to worry about

for those ppl, (farther up on comments) who r debating opn Paul b or claw, they are way different. the claw has enough style to start a new japanese fashion show, but paul B focuses on huge techy tricks, that dont always come out and smooth and styly as darren. Me, i like darren more, he makes his riding look better, but theyre both awesome riders

The Claw is sick, and so is this drop, and I don't want to take away from that, but this isn't the best photo, the top is washed out and the colours aren't exactly crisp, but regardless, you can totally tell Darren is killing it, good job!

I dont think pro s should get Pod cuz they could get it easily everyday with the biggest sickest jumps and the best photography I mean they have pro photographers.

Sick! to everyone on about Paul and Darren's riding, Darren is a much smoother and stylyer rider than Paul but Paul does the bigger, nuttier ticks. To the guy that said Darren is a hucker and Paul is a dirt jumper, you got that one wrong, they both ride DJs and they both ride freeride. they are both awesome riders
