It was time for me to let it go. It had been sitting in the garage in ridden in over 2 years. Wasn't even insured and was registered non-op. Buddy bought for a track bike.
She was a good looking bike! I had an R1 for.. One whole day lol. I actually never owned it, a cougar chick owned it and let me ride her the day before it got sold. Got her up to 160 on the interstate, through the Colorado Rockies at 4 am... Lucky as fuck a deer never ran across the road, I would've been roasted. I've hesitated to buy a sport bike yet, because I too know myself.. Give me an engine and wheels, and I'm gonna do stupid shit. I'll probably get one sooner or later, though.
I stopped riding because a good friend fellow rider had a mishap and went off a cliff. It changed riding for me it wasn't enjoyable anymore. I have kids and after that mishap my mind was never clear while riding so I stopped. Right after stopping is when I got back into mtb'ing heavily. Replaced one set of 2 wheels for another.
