This is looking probably most XC ready out of all your previous bikes.
I also changed the head angle on my hardtail by swapping the rear wheel for 650b Smile

the stock geometry was sketchy - with 71.5 degree HA, short chainstays and slightly short front end. heavy loading of rider onto the front tire with little forgiveness at low speed. lots of people said similar on bike forums. geometry not reflecting modern technical XC courses. The new 2017 model is brand new, slimmed down and slacker longer geo.

I fitted the Works Components headset to take my bike to 70 degree, which drop BB, give longer front centre, more rake = super sweet, sketchyness is gone. bike longer, slacker and much more forgiving. feels you can rip so fast.

Saddle is best with rotated foward pelvic postion so needed to drop bar and extend reach. lots of experiment and the -25 Zipp stem was superb. Tried range of lengths and 90mm was perfect. feels like 650 bike height at front and much easier to pop wheelies!
