Awesome ride man, ive got one in matt black ill be building up early in the new year, what forks are you running? I see on one "suggest" a 140mm fork but i was thinking of going 150mm, and 160mm forks seem quite easy to get hold of atm on ebay but i dont wanna ruin handling just to save a few £s.
Cheers Homie i run 160 up front and its a baller, i like that number though as I weigh in at 200lbs so it sits a little lower for me than it would for a lighter rider.
Jeez, nice build. Congrats man! Just picked up a M in black with the white decals on the weird Xmas sales On One were doing and set me back £110 brand spanking new. Been struggling to find any reviews but have got my build together that features 140 Mattoc Pro, V12 pedals, GX Kit, On One / El Guapo finishing kit, 125 dropper and Charge spoon saddle. very excited to get t built up as soon as I get back from the holidays and back in to Cape Town.
Please post a review once up and riding as there isn't much out there and the story needs to be told.
It looks awesome man! I don't know whether to replace my inbred with a 456 or a dee dar. I've got to tell you that build looks perfect. Loving the raw frame and wheels. Too dope.
thanks I was up against the same choice cause the 456 is even cheaper I think its 160$! but I went with this due to the more updated geo... what ever you get you'll be hyped!
@sterlingmagnum: It certainly is! I am kicking myself at the moment, I went to the On-One warehouse clearance sale earlier this year and they were selling a couple of raw pre-production frames for £80 each! I pondered it, fpr spme reason that I can't explain I didn't buy one and started to regret my decision an hour down the road! D'oh!
specs say 2.4,,,,now thats obviously fairly subjective since tires vary so damn much. I have a 2.4 WTB trail boss out back and there is plenty of room. I would say a 2.5-6 Maxxis no problem. I am going to try and stuff a 2.4 Hutchinson Cougar in there,,,, that is a 2.67 real world measurement. I shall let you know how that fits at a later date...
@sterlingmagnum: With 2.6s looming on the tire horizon they're becoming a key element of any future builds I may take on. BTW, I'm keen on those polished rims, too.
you fast,,,, I love the way it turned out. Steerer is a tad shorter than I like at 3/16" below cap...... contemplating a fork swap... but It should be ok for the time being.
