I only recently sold mine, red with a fresh sticker kit and intense M1 rocker which took ages to find instead of the flimsy single plates they used ion these. My dream was to make the same bike as Minnaar rode to the world champs in 2003 only to find out the team bikes were completely different...... Team frames were intense m1 front triangles with Uzzi dh seat tower one came up for sale over here in Australia last year Mick Hannahs old one and it only sold for 250 quid. Only a hand full made for mick and greg... good luck with the build can't wait to see it

Nah, not special enough IMO. Great bikes that I know got disguised as Intense but not up there in my eyes, look for a Tomas or DH9 instead

Have 2 DH9s, 1 minter and 1 for spares... I do like the Tomac, especially the Lawwil one

Other way around actually. Haros were disguised Intense bikes.

@seraph: Ah yes, my old mind sometimes gets things back to front lol

brakes and fork are nice. Better to look for a old schwinn lawhill DH rig if you want to restore a squishy bike for this period.

Have a Yeti DH lawwil bud so the Schwinn is too similar to be worth it

Do it! Always liked the one Minnaar rode years ago.

That's what i would be aiming for, i even like it more than the Intense M1

@Shiny-side-up: nice. Always coveted that ride at the time. Was it a Dorado front end?
  • 1 0
@Shiny-side-up: nice ! if you did it up like that 03 and get a dorado also, that would be dope . i always wanted one back then when it was new . because our local bike man was dealing norco and haro . brings back memories for me

@dh-bomber: Sounds like a plan, will have to try and buy it for a reasonable price first so won't count my chickens just yet

@Shiny-side-up: what was the Intense name for this model? was it the M3?
  • 1 0
@nickkk: Just going by Gregs comments under the photo of it, seems like it had an M1 rear end and part of the front monocoque but with Uzzi style seat tower. Also slacker head angle and lower BB than M1.
I'm not sure if there was a matching Intense model?

@Shiny-side-up: oh cool. I never realised that it was a Frankenstein Intense..! pretty neat. I just assumed it was a rebadged Intense model of some kind given that they used to do that with other manufacturers back in the day like Giant etc.
