I love black and white photos! good one
i thought POD ment a good picture with skills. like anyone can do that. thats like saying lets go to the cliffs and take a picture of us riding up top of it. then put it in black and white and why not lets photoshop it. come on pink bike.
^^ yeah your a f*g. i just looked at your album and your probably some street bum. your opinion is worthless! hahaha
ok very good pic ive seen alot but i dont think this is worth POD . just because i'm sayng this i'm gonna get alot of - props :S
NormanRidinHigh , POD doesn't mean you have to have mass skills. POD is a picture selected because it stands out from others, has good clarity, background, view, and yes, sometimes purely because it is a monster huck. i think this picture gives POD some variety!

why would she lower her seat, its not a DH run its SC blur, which is a XC bike and that is what she is doing XC riding....duh
Lower your seat? You get more strenght when your legs are straight, in Xc riding, theres no huge hucks so whats the point of having a low or small frame? I think its a good pic.
Not true, way too many of us are too lazy to get out on an XC ride like this one. Good work to the rider and the photographer.
People have to remember, POD isn't all about crazy freeride stunts, POD = Picture of day not IFRPOD = Insane freeride picture of the day, All a pod should be is a nice picture, and this meets the criteria.
to many freeride and downhill riders are too out of shape and lazy to ride those high alpine epics.Me included. Hats off to the rider and photog.!

I'm almost positive POD is random...it only gets changed if its awful...this is a great BandW shot....sweet ride too! Congrats to the photog
seven summits is the sickest trail EVER and why does everybody hate on the POD everybody is just pissed its not there photo... get over it its not trick or jump of the day its picture of the day so screw the f*ck off
Wow...i dont care if it is a girl..its the most undeserving POD ive seen yet...just cause its black n white it gets pod...
what do you mean "I dont care if its a girl"? Are you saying that even though girls should get special treatment it still sucks? Wow, that comment really showed not just that you're a winger but also that you dont think very highly of females. Plus your album is full of tired table and tire stall shots so were you really expecting to get pod for your innovative radness?!! The shot is well taken. It's not a token B+W shot, you're oversimplifying.
c*nto, at least he has riding pics in his album (im not saying i do) but you cant really critisize his album when yours is like it is, a picture of a horse!
it's a good shot of a nice XC trail. it may not be huge hucks and dh runs, but it is still a great shot!
I love this picture. It just makes me want to be there. One of my favourite POD even if there is no real action. The female rider here has got beautiful arms

umm just so this is clear to every one... making pictures into black and white DOES NOT always make them artistic or better! This one would have been far better in colour. This picture doesn't do that much for me personally. For a good black and white picture or that brownish colour whatever you call it (sepia?), you need to have more contrast or the picture has to be more abstract. I would have liked this picture had it not been in black in white but either way, I don't think this is POD material, maybe if you had a mountain view or something. Either way, good riding! and keep on shreding!
yeah i think this pic would look better in color, but for me, even in black and white it deserves to be pod
I dont think you know what you're talking about lepricon. B+W does not necisarily have to be 'abstract' but I do agree that by just converting the photo to b+w it does not just make it instantly artistic. Personally I think that this photo is very well done for the lighting conditions I can see in the picture, maybe a bit overexposed on the grass but the composition is very good. Maybe stand back a bit or use a smaller focal length (wider angle lense) to sow us a bit more of where the trail goes to but apart from that, an excellent photo :-) .

so, lets get this stright, the rider isnt hucking themselves, they are on an xc bike, there is no attempt at style or great skills involved...but the picture is amazing. all af the things that we normally wouldnt want in a pod put together make for one amazing picture. good job
this is a great pod. it shows that to get a pod you dont have to be hucking a 50 foot gap. it is picture of the day, not huck of the day. this is an awsome pic. props

this pod sucks ass...theres nothin speacial about....who cares if its black and white...anyone can do that
for me this dont impress, ive been in the alps and done the mega avalanche, and seen dozens of hair pins just like this and dozens of riders riding round them... (including me
)
this one is pretty cool.... i'm partial to my own picture though! http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1398625/
Lame if you make your picture black and white it doesn't make it cooler. Maybe it would be cool if they had their leg out and were sliding the corner
no offence but......anyone could take a picture with fairly good scenery and make black and white.....thats just my opinion

wow the picture isnt even great its only black and white and geez looks like going down that trail must have takin alot of skill
Its a good picture of good riding. I dont know why people would critisize this, it seems most riders these days dont even hardly MOUNTAINbike anymore everybody just dirt jumps and care only about tricks it makes me sad that most kids who claim they mtb can't hardly trailride.
