Solid looking McCloud. Is the handle fibreglass or metal? Surprised you found this in Germany.

Haha...yes I'm proud to found it. It's fibreglass!
80€ and 2days delivery.

@Parkbuilder72: Great. Here in BC I buy them for $100 at the local forestry supply shop and they are very poor quality. My crew members brake at least one per person per season. Now I found a guy who custom makes them for $120 and they last forever.

 Custom made, that sound good!
Im sure Parkbuilder would love to have once of those too!
Me too, please!!! hhahahhahah

But really, I can get handles but I wonder how much it would be to mail the just the head to Japan?
We would put some proper use to it!

@nikoniko: Here's the one that I personally use the most. It is a bit lighter than the full McLeoud, but has the same features. A rake end and a flat end. The heavy gauge steel can be re-sharpened over and over again on the flat end, so you use it for hacking through roots, moss, even strip branches off trees, etc.. He also builds the full-size McLeouds. I'm sure this would last you forever. Next time I order a few I should get the weight without handle so I can price out the shipping to Japan. I'm a bad guesser with weight, but a 2kg parcel costs $30 to Japan, if it's 3kg it would be $60. Almost the same rates to Germany.

 Very cool!
Let me know I will pay for shipping and cost of the head!
This looks very mean, it would be neat to have one of each, the full size and your personal triangle!
Very cool!

This that parkbuilder has, is this the full McCloud?
Thank for the photo and information buddy!

@nikoniko: I think I misspelled it. Parkbuilder has it correct: McLeod.

Cool, I'll look into it. I check with my friend if he has some pre-build right now so that he can get me the exact weight. I think it is worth it, you'll never buy another one to replace it. It will not break!

And yes, the photo posted here is the full McLeod, the real deal. I think originally they were built for wildfire fighters as fire break rakes. At least that's what I tell students when teaching my trailbuilding workshops ;-)
