A move called the Seperator. As far as I know, this is only the second time this has been stuck (although it's been crashed at least twice).
Of you want to style it like Wyld Willy, check out http://www.spectrumtechwear.com
Thats an awesome picture. Its a big drop, but I think that the camera angle makes it look even bigger. Thats all you need for a good picture: Forest. Trail. Rider.
Joey151, the dude doesn't have a full face or any other pads! I wear more protection on my XC bike. Either way this is a huge gapper and the guy is extremely confident in his skills. Solid pic.
The comment I made about the camera angle making the jump look bigger than it was, well i take it back, check this out. Video of the drop www.pinkbike.com/video/1893
Good job on the pic and the riding, but none to the builder. This is the worst built stunt i have ever seen, considering the amount of work and resourses used. Eg: all the planks are round side down and spiked in with a single nail and all wobble when you ride them. There are too many other defects to list. Angles, construction, etc. Atleast it matches the rest of the trail with all the drops to flat....but i am not bitter lol!!
please post youtube link or something where we can see it live!!! anyway i wouldnt trust that construction. .. While its so big the landing should be made of dirt or something solid .. one nail and your seriously injured or worse
Wow - that is large. I agree the tranny looks a bit flat, but whatever that adds to the overall appeal of it. It's only been stuck twice, probably because most people look at it and say no way it's a mess....but this guy looks at it and says no prob and then dials it clean. Why doesn't someone take the time to solidify the build a bit? Make it hang out for a few more years. The original builders should do that, or take it down...I hope they understand their liability if someone gets hurt because of shitty construction.
look at the movie, that guy falls almost like a poke of potatoes...defo BIG sized drop, but jumpin things like that without a ff would be the last thing I'd ever do
YO buddy thats f*ckin trippy up there how do u do this shit man u dont even have a full face helmet....and what if u feel u would have like a pice of like wood right through......did u full of make it
I like how people see someone do something that they can't or don't dare do and play it down or have the well my buddy can do better attitude. Its like being in the locker room and seeing someone with a much bigger dick than yours and saying "Well my buddies dick is bigger than yours" But at the end of the day you still are a guy with a little dick.
I dont care who you are this drop up arawana is huge! I do think the landing should be steeper for how big it it but, Any rider that faces this has some serious skill soo dont be bashin on his gear.. Not to mention the gap up onto this Well done!
man ,, awesome job.. ive looked at that drop and said no fuckin' way,,i have to work for a living. sweet job sniping that small landing dude... props...anyone who thinks that isn't big has to see it... its frickin huge!!!!! sweeet!!!
You guys give him way too much credit!!! There's a 15 year old canadian kid who this drop countless times in his video. In his second time doing the drop he did an extended no hander. Remember this kid is only 15 and here is a guy well in his twenties scared shit less doing something out of his ability- riding with a regular cross country helmet and no pads. shows he is clearly not experienced, just crazy..
Nah, Brad is a straight badass. East coast styling. If you want to talk experience ask him. He just started Spectrum Techwear. Check out Transition's website and look at the pics. Brad is all over their site. Does Schwinnin have his riding pics on a website beside Trent Kidd and Mike Metzger, nope.
I took the pic. There's nothing about that pic that's scared shitless or out of any ability. Although the only other guy who's hit it is 15, I think he's only done it twice (once clean, once his back wheel explodes, but he was on a hardtail.....)
NIce comments though, you're a real Schwinner.....
I give way more props to old dudes that hit that shit up. Older bones, more aches, slower recovery time, risk jobs, families, etc. If you're young, you'll heal up fast and right and your mom will take care of you during the downtime. Sure the experience does play into it, but when I see a guy like Spangler at 40 killing it, I bow my head.
for real schwinn...since when can you not ride very well without a full face or pads? this guy KNOWS what he is doing if he doesn't need that stuff. awsome drop, mate!
