Its not upside down, look at the angle of the front wheel!!! The forks or frame has snapped at the front.

I've been there, it happens so fast you don't realize it untill it's all over. My knuckles hit the ground still on the bar and got scraped to the bone (ashfalt, not mulch like this guy), the front tire cut my right cheek outside and in, my knee met the same fate as my knuckles and Norco gave me a free brand new 416 frame.

The guy managed pull out from the bike some extra 300 or 400 mm of travel! Guess it happened to go really wrong... Hope the rider's OK. :S

acutally you woulnt be racing a kona in the first place... also, the kona woulda broke be4 u even launched the jump and it'd only be the guy on the landin ramp. and finally.. kona sucks they make shitty ugly bikes and i havnt seen a new frame from kona ever, they just repaint the old model and release it again BOO SCREW KONA

For the bike it was enough from the rider. The fotographer was on the right time on the right place, so everybody saw the frame last ride. Nice pic,bad story..

i believe thats the new rst prototype, the hinging steerer tube. pretty sure they cancelled all further research and attempts after they tried it on drops, they arent aloud to post thos online cause its in the evidence locker at the police station with the cause of death
