f*cking people..... i could be wrong but the camera man at the time was moving the camera with the rider, making the biker (thats moving) in focus and the tress and everything els(that IS NOT moving) blury
This photo is not fake, jimmy goes up like that every time at that spot and others, I do not own/have/use photoshop. The effect is from a flash which fires at maybe 1/10000 of a second of a second therefore freezing what it hits in this case it's a backlight and hitting his tyres/rims. I was panning so everything else is blurred.
The lighting seems different....the bike is brighter...also the highlights on the rims is coming from the front ? I could be wrong...but it's huge.....

its obviously not photoshopped all the bikers are on ground staring at him look at the angle of there heads, anyperson should know that if u follow the object with a camera it doesnt get blurry for a better effect. and he's lightter because hes higher up in the tress where there is more light. just accept that this guy is a better biker than you.
I agree with that, and also when you focus you camera lense on someone/something in particular, everything else get blurry. That's major air!!!

They have been in one of the earthed and I think it is 2, although I don't think this line was shown. (it was smaller back then anyway)
That is so FAKE, just look at his size compared with the other riders size, look at the bike he is having an MTB but it is still smaller then other guys BMX,com'on man !Just stay and think before you shout at me.
It is 100% real. Jimmy is riding a 24" wheeled MTB, pretty common over here for dirt jumping, if it looks smaller than the BMX's it's becuase of perspective, he's much further away (and higher!) and therefore looks smaller.......
Not even the light is not OK.And don't say is just "make up" in Photoshop ,if that is so show the original.
Knoxxx your a complete and utter spoon. You say the light is not right. This is due to an external flash hidden that lights the rider up too 'freeze' them in the photgraph. If you dont believe me read up on photography before you presume this is fake. Also your saying about the size of his bike this is because he's so high and the bmxer is closer so its all depth perception. What have you been taking to not realise that?

This guy is awesome, if you were gonna fake a photo you wouldn't use a guy good enough to feature in Dirt! Just because us mere mortals can't ride that good doesn't mean nobody can... All you folks who think this is fake, get out and ride and stop being so gay!

look at the white rings around the front tyre. U telling me his tyres are that shiny after he's been dirt jumping like that? and whats all that mess on the right hand edge of the image? seems like he's been cut from the original, photo cut in half and re-inserted higher up and further left to me. Also if you follow the curve of the helmet theres a blurry edge.
timaaah, if you light black with enough light then it looks white it's a common practice when lighting stuff, known as a rim light or back light, the mess on the right is where the flash firing at thousandths of a second has frozen the leaves in the shot taken at tenths or hundreadths of a second. If you think I could be bothered to spend hours on a computer making a lie then you are wrong, Jimmy is sponsored by one of the top uk dirt jump companies because he has a way of blowing people away with his riding, some people flip, but jimmy just boosts.

nice photo, and i was really exited about it, but i looked at it closely and yes it is fake, look close at the ride, notice that the green about a centimeter away from the rider, it just dosnt blend.
Can someone point out where hes landing? unlesss hes spinning is looks like hes about to clip a tree...
try looking at some of the other pics of jimmy, or do a little bit of homework on him untill you realise he is known for going big.....
There is no way in hell this photograph is photoshopped. I’ve photographed with Roo hundred of times and know he does not own photoshop, use photoshop or want anything to do with Photoshop . This is the result of off-camera flash, panning (hence motion blur, not the PS blur tool) and accurate focus. Those of you can’t understand this, why not try experimenting for once with your camera rather then in Photoshop!?!? Sorry, I get pretty pissed off with people who automatically assume Photoshop cuz they can’t possibly perceive taking a photograph without it!!!

I vote that everyone who suggests that a photo is photoshopped from now on gets a month or so "timeout" from pinkbike.
