Leftover 0.5 mm ti tubing. It's amazing what Boeing throws away. Designed by the team from the previous semester, this was my first semester on the project. My role was design consultation and component spec.

A human-powered vehicle (HPV). It's mostly a design competition, but we do race 'em. There's a top speed event and an endurance race (sorta like a road circuit race). It's a hell of a fun way to get credit.

you should look into NASA's moonbuggy race; they take all kinds of competitors and it's for space advancement

http://moonbuggy.msfc.nasa.gov/

you build a "moonbuggy" that you can pedal and it has to go through a course

kinda like 4x or somethin
