Have you set the sag correctly? Aim for around 200mm eye to eye. If it sags more, you might need a 350lb spring. First real ride this weekend coming so can't help further but the stock spring is 300lb and feels a touch soft. I weight 72kg/158lbs. Check the forums on www.gravity-slaves.cohttp://www.gravity-slaves.co.uk for upcoming support and tuning tips.

how much pressure you have on the rocco

flag gravityslaves (Nov 20, 2007 at 10:15)
200psi. Make sure you have between 170 and 220 in there. It's not a platform, just a pressure chamber to stop the oil foaming and assist with the bottom out so start with 200 - add some if you want to stop it bottoming. That's assuming you're on the right spring in the first place.

Set sag, set pressure, wind compression all the way off, a couple clicks of rebound and go ride. Perfect. That was the tip from tuning gurus TF Tuned!

Stunning bike mate. Just brought myself a Meta 666 vip frame. Love Commencals colours for '08.

Thanks! It's wicked, too some speccing but I'm happy now!

Commencal have a wicked lineup for '08. I've gone the whole hog and also have an Asolut 4x and a Meta 5.5! Looked at the 666, it's awesome but with the 5.5 fits a bit better with my riding (and the Supreme DH). Enjoy the 666.

Yup. Good spot!

I like 'em. Light, grippy and pretty solid. I got them because of the machined pyramids - if you smash all the pins out, like I tend to, you've still got some grip there. Doing well so far, work well with the Five Tens.

They say, that Supreme 08 is about 10seconds faster than the old one Wink . So, have a nice and fast ride on this beauty Smile !

Question is - does a bike unlock a riders potential or does the rider unlock that of the bike? I suspect the Athertons can unlock a bike, whereas most of the rest of us just need to brake less! Wink

(It's the '09 that's 'faster', mine is the '08 Wink )

Mine are Boxxer Team internals running inside World Cup lowers with different stickers. They were custom valved by TF Tuned so hard to replicate but here goes....

I am 73kg and run a softer spring, 2-3 clicks of slow speed compression, a turn on the floodgate and about a turn and a half of rebound. I've pushed the stanchions through the crowns about 10mm to slacken the head angle a touch. Perfect! Wink
