that is dope, sx pride my friend, so a manitou coil works for fox eh? This is one of the nicest looking sxt's I've seen in a long long time, what'dya think of the totem on there?
Hey, cheers man. Yeah the manitou works fine the stroke is 2.75inch and works fine. I think the totem balances it out a bit better geometry wise, had the stock 160mm 66 on the front for a while and it felt too low at the front, is perfect now, going to be racing DH on it in march, totem is probably the only SC fork id do that with.
sweet-I know Romo switched between a Fox and Totem when he used to ride Spec-I'm thinking I might pick up a Totem to be able to switch between my Demo 8 and Sxt- I'm actually pretty jealous of your bike, it seems like your paint is going to be much stronger than mine, that and you've upgraded some things that I only wish I had yet, bright side is there's plenty of time before the riding starts again in Montana so I've got some time to get working. The only problem I can think of with the Totem is that it voids the warranty (i think) but then again, when the frame cracks and you send it in, you don't send the fork with it so w/e right?
With the warranty it says that the fork must be 160mm give or take 10%, thats a maximum travel of 176mm, the totem is 180mm I dont think they would argue over the extra 4mm but you can not be sure. for them to warranty it to 176mm they must have carried out testing to that point and found it was ok and not likely to crack, its only DC forks that could be a problem I think.
The totems are great forks but the seals have just gone on mine, off being fixed under warranty now. not a big problem as I'm off the bike coz of exams anyway. If you do get some make sure you get them new and have the warranty, you will almost certianly have to get the seals upgraded within the first few months.

What the totams like on the sx trail ????????????????????
They are ace, suit it much better than the stock 160mm forks imo. The geo just feels better. Prefer it to the Demo 8 I had but a long way.
That's a bummer about the seals, I think I'll be ordering up a bunch of parts today, chainguides, pedals, wheelset-not all of it is in stock but I will send out for a totem coil as well. If you don't mind me asking yet another annoying question, for the coil, do you know anything about weight? I'm actually under 150 lbs and technically need the lightest coil for the demo series but for the sxt the manual doesn't say anything about it, mine came with a 350 lb coil and the 300 that's on the sxt at our store feels way softer. I can either wait for the 'Renton' made for dhx coils to come back in stock or I can order a couple manitou ones (one for my demo with manitou, one for my sxt with fox). Thanks for answering all the above questions-maybe I'll recognize your bike in whistler this summer?
Errm, not sure I follow completely but I checked the spring calculator here: http://www.tftunedshox.com/springcalc.htm
and if you are under 150lbs the heaviest spring you would want on the sxt is 300. Manitou coils are fairly decent so you should be fine if you go down that route.
Don't reckon I'll be out in Whistler this year but I have heard its good, I'm off to France to do the Megavalanche in the summer and take two weeks riding the alps, should be sweet. When you get it all built up get a picture up here and let me know!
Good talking to you.

Spec wrote to me that you can run on 2007/2008 sxt on fork up to 200 mm
.
how much it weight?
how much it weight?
Yeah my friend runs a 203mm fox 40 on his and its nice. The weight is somewhere around 37lb although a few parts have changed recently so I'm not sure any more.
