nice man to bad its a bit blurry but i say you have a good chance at pod its not always about the quality its about the riding and the goodness of mountain biking! props on the jump thats pretty dam big.
Huge double and a great rider. Well framed shot. It's too bad about the poor quality but everything else still makes it pod-worthy. I definitely like the effect created with the dust coming off the jump.

I'm Sorry, That is huge, but there is no way it is 50 foot! Think of it this way, that bike is about 5 foot long and it wouldn't fit in there 10 times end-2-end from lip-2-lip!

jonnynez, it's taken at an angle, if it was taken broadside you could see that it is 50 feet. think of it this way, if you look at a wall dead on, you might not be able to see the whole thing but if you stand at one end and look down it you can see the whole thing, that dosen't make it shorter now does it?
ok just to clear some stuff up the picture was taken from an angle and we measured the gap and its 53 feet from take off to landing
Seems like a relatively straight forward problem. Overall bike length is in the neighborhood of 6 feet (med. BigHit has 1148mm wheel base, which is axle to axle, not overall length), arc of the trajectory, angle of the picture, estimate location of landing on back side of tranny... wait, this is getting complicated.
I've ridden jumps at Whistler that seem small until you get off the bike and walk them and they get to be close to 30 feet without even trying. I've got no problem accepting that this is 50+feet. Fun to watch, wish I had the Cajones to send it.

yes it is bigger but you cant judge perspective, looks to me like the truck is like 50' or more out from the kick.

Who? To build this jump you need:
1 - a backyard like that.
2 - long hours of planing
3 - more long hours of shoveling
4 - some more shoveling
5 - and then, when you are done shoveling... You definitely need big balls to use it, for what you built it for...
6 - some friends in the hospital near by, just in case you screw up...
