nice bike....but what is the point of the froks bein flipped like that?....the way i see it if you even clip a rock the wrong way your stanctions are done for
inverted forks (like the dorado) are wayyyy more sensitive, more plush and fell a lot better, the only reason they stopped using them is because when you put 200mm of travel they get flexy (cause of the lack of a 3rd crown) but the dorado is the only for manitou has ever done right... back in 03 and 04 all DHers swore by them... they're light, plush and all around amazing... thats why they brought back the dorado for 2009
dude the point of having inverted forks is so the center of gravidy has less weight on the bottom making it eazyer
sick bike dude... well the fact that is a 03 is less interesting but for $750 ... wow what a great deal.
Man I cant believe u sell it for only $750... i see alot of bike like that but i never see with this price. OMG ppl sell 00 bike for more and the bike is in the same category...
well actualy(twigme) the point of inverted forks is so they basically have the larger outer tube attached to the triple tree and the lighter inner tube attached to the front axle. Theoretically, the stronger outer tubes will resist torsion and twisting better and give the clamps more to hold on to, and that way provide a more solid platform when they are attached to the frame at the triple clamp rather than the inner tubes.
The "mass centralization" point is incorrect, though. What he meant is sprung vs unsprung weight. A large tube filled with oil in a conventional fork has more mass than the sliders in a USD fork, hence an increase in the unsprung weight of the suspension. Heavier unsprung components mean the suspension has to work harder to control them, and small amounts are important in that area

twigme is a retard....does anyone even know what that tool is talking about....its jibberish....the whole idea around inverted forks is that you have less unsprung wieght and you can get a lot of travel in a shorter fork because you dont need an extra 6-7 inches of stanchion to clamp your crowns to. also there way less likely to snap off.
how much would this bike be plus shipping to scotland in british pounds ,cheers! andrewfairweather@live.co.uk
ill give u 400$ for the fork but it includes the shipping if ur interested just send me back a message
