A lot of you guys are complete asswipes for dissing bender, agreed he cant exactly do the "new school" style of mountain biking, but he was there long before you realized it was "cool" to ride "MTB", and long before you had the balls to try your first itsy bitsy drop, he was breaking boundaries people thought could not be broken, so now you diss him for not doing what is the latest "fad" in mountain biking, when all you do is take whatever new trend you can find and shove it down your own throats just so you are not in any danger of being considered "behind the times" or "uncool", progression in the sport is very good and its important, but a lot of people like the way they ride and they don't want to change it just because everyone else is changing, so stop throwing bullshit at people who aren't afraid to ride whatever way they want, because even if they do suck at it, which bender doesn't, they are still better off than you for having a mind of their own and doing what they love instead of just joining the herd.

bender does his own thing and he's brilliant at it. we all know there are different disciplines in mtb, and bender is at the top of his. he may not be throwing double backflips, or boosting quarter pipes like everyone else. but he's helped the sport in more ways than we could even imagine
