ya u do, its called chain growth, the only way u can avoid chain growth is to have the pivot point around the bottom bracket. An example of a bike with the pivot around the bb would be a kona cowan ds, cove gspot, or a cove hooker

and I do beleive this bike was designed like the cowan DS and such with the BB, i've seen some people run it with no tensinior.

trust me it does not pivot around the bb like the cowan. and i do not know how you would run it without a chain tensioner unless u had a super super stiff rear shock which didnt move very much.

Scott alleyn runs his with no tensioner just so you know...I remeber reading somewhere it can be ran without a tensionor.

It shouldn't be ran without a tensioner. It does not pivot around the bottom bracket. Scott Alleyn probably only runs his in the 5" setting with super high tension so nothing will come off, but I would never do that. I'm pretty sure Banshee wouldn't tell anyone to, either.

I know Scott Alleyn runs without one. But the bike is definitely not made for single speed without a tensioner.

Well I meant that i'll look around trying to find the comment or something I read about running the bike single speed. It probably shouldn't be considering how many people I see run tensioners though.

you have to run a tensioner, u need at least 4cm of extra chain other wise it will snap or destroy your hub, scott had it single speed for a bit but im pretty sure that ended in a busted rear hub real quick.

Did you paint this frame becous i can't find this colour anywhere.. (baby blue ( argyle's blue xD ) ?? Did you paint it or you had bought this frame in thos colour.. ?? Sorry for dictionary if something is wrong .. RazzP

Banshee painted it for me, its the team design but i asked for the aqua color instead of the normal team white and black.

weight is 31lb, biggest ways to drop weight is the tyres,fork,whole wheel setup.
