Ya... the helmet looks nice, weighs nothing... but back when I raced bmx all over the country we all cringed at this helmet. Yea... Id rate this helmet for hardcore xc/moderate freeride... but once you start to get a bit burlier it just wont do. Honestly... is risking your smarts/brain worth shaving the weight and looking cool. All of my buddy bmx racers etc wear nothing but D.O.T. helmets.

Save your dome... get dot.

You are an idiot if you dont wear one. One bad fall and your permanently totaled.

Id rather wear my heavy dot (O AND FOX RELEASED A DOT HELMET FOR 400$USD THAT WEIGHS LITERALLY NOTHING. WELL ITS CARBON TLD WEIGTH THATS FOR SURE.) than get owned wearing a light one.

In the end... spend the extra 50$ (tld carbons run 350ish) (fox hardcore light dot's) run about 400. 50 more, a few ounces but you will stay out of a stretcher with head trauma.
