the finish bike, homemade stainless steel frame with bearings in all of its pivots, 8 inches at the rear. and the shortest chainstay ever -16 inches - the frame is pretty light as well at only 11 pounds.

How long did it take you to build? I like the way you have all the photos of the different stages! Well done, I hope it rides as well as you expect!

from start to finish, including the designing stage, research and calculation, little over a year, and just building it 3 to 4 months.

Looks like you need to move to the 'States and apply for a job with Brooklyn Machine Works.

how much does it weigh

flag bikemonkey (Jan 30, 2008 at 11:25)
the entire bike weighs in at around 46 pounds - rear internally geared 8 speed hub included. the frame weighs 10 pound w/o shock. with better components it could get to be a 40 pounds bike..... I think.

thats sick it looks like a cross between a honda and a bmx. thats a pretty light frame, but in my opinion you can lighten it up still. and i love how the stantions are wider then the frame tubes Razz
