Sexual orientation aside, riding in flip-flops and no helmet definitely puts him in the douche-bag category. I'll tell you why too; flip-flops particularly the ones worn by said rider are flimsy. Their soles are made of foam, and the thong is plastic. All it takes is a good solid misstep (no bike required) and the thong rips through, causing one to lose one's shoe. Losing a shoe on a jump/freeride bike can lead to astonishing wrecks, and/or serious injury up to and including death of rider. Even if he doesn't wreck in such a hypothetical crash, we all know that most of us run pedals with replaceable pins that are sharp. I wouldn't want to destroy my foot like that, especially knowing that I could've spent 1 more minute and put a proper pair of shoes on, instead of being a lazy ass.

I would think that at this point though, that the helmet would go without saying...but hey, as was said, he IS Australian, and well, I find that fact and that he is not wearing a helmet to be not at all surprising.
