hahahaha! Nice!
NEVER SHAKE A BABY ! lol
your girlfriend is gonna kill you lol.
ooo maybe some baby mom drama!
he might have brain damage when he gets older from the bumps.... but at least hes gonna love biking... look how happy he is!!!
C'mon, its not seriously like the guys gonna be hitting 20ft doubles with the kid on board- think most giving neg' props jest got the wrong end of the stick. As for jolting his head... surely the dad+suspension will be absorbing the hits, very little will transfer to the baby. Even in the event of a crash - the dad would react so as to not let the kid get injured, at any cost to himself (awkward landing). Love it! +
It is obvious how few of you actually have children. I'll get flamed for this, but while the picture elicits a smile, if it is not photoshopped, I'd say it represents criminal negligence.
kids have been in worse positions than that before, as we say in australia... harden the f*ck up
dude! BAD ASS! my dad did this with me, only on a snowboard! haha!
so maybe pod. and yeah your wife gona kill you.!
looking at his photos id say he was a damn good rider an very confident so full respect you mate

photoshop??? maybe... but sweet pic and if it isn't, that's f*cking sweet
Great pic. Also check out his album for more ripper baby pics.
yeah.. in the other pictures, he is jumping with the baby without a helmet.. most stupid and irresposible thing I've ever seen with a kid..
ther was no need for that
Ok, I read a lot of comments giving props and then some negative ones. I think the spirit of this photo is awesome and I 100 percent support this. For all those "what if nay sayers" think about it like this. What if you are just riding your bike by yourself and crash, fall off and break your neck or die (it happens all the time).....hmm that's bad parenting, so maybe you shouldn't bike if you are a parent? What if your are jogging with a stroller, it's more risky because every time you are out in the streets you are more likely to die. (people get killed by cats everyday)
It's all a silly argument. You have to take precautions, know your skill and limits, and enjoy life by taking risks. That's how your grow, evolve, and it's what makes us human.

I agree with your comments to a degree.....however the difference is his baby doesn't have a choice in the matter! We all have a choice on what we do and if we get hurt doing it then thats our responsibility....a baby is not capable of saying "NO....I don't want to do that I might get hurt!" so there for it is irresponsible.
Don't get me wrong this photo made me smile but the reality is that if he were to crash his baby isn't gonna take it like we would there is a very high possibility it could die.
Great picture but please don't encourage this sort of thing, Especially without a lid.
Peace!

Please tell me thats a typo . . .
Id love to see headlines for that one. Couple brutally mauled by tabby.
Also, i full respect the father/boyfriend for doing this, what a great way to bring your kids out into the world.

lol - ok that's a typo....I meant cars
I think a baby never has a say in anything...it's all up to the parents. To further add to my point.....do I pay for a baby sitter every time I need to go to the store even for 30 miutes, or do I put the baby in a baby seat and drive my car to the store. Of course the safer thing is to get a baby sitter. Driving cars is dangerous and it would be very irresponsible to take your baby anywhere in a car unless you absolutely needed.

takes hanging with your dad to a whole new level!
So I'm not a dad. I have no idea how old a kid is judging by it's size. I have been informed that the kid is only 8 months old, I assumed it was a few years old. A kid that young is still developing and just the motion that riding and never mind jumping, can be placed on a kids brain and neck is damaging. This means that it is really unsafe to do this to a kid this young. However great the notion of a dad taking his kid riding is, and as much I want to be cavalier about support of this, the fact is that if the kid is only 8 months old, just the motion of riding can harm him. So this is something that should not be done.
The great part about having all these opinions and conversation is that we can all learn something. Even I have changed my view on the subject not only due to a fact of the kids age, but also due to the general information from those that are more experienced in this matter. The good that I think and hope that comes from this POD is that we all will think twice, and maybe do some research before we embark on putting a young rider in a possible dangerous situation. I know in the years to come I'll think to this POD and the concerns of parents out there.

seriously... how many parents out there do things like smoke cigarettes or drugs around their kids? Drink and drive with their kids in the car? Leave kids in cars on hot days? This is kinda the same thing... it seems harmless until shit hits the fan. How's Dad gonna feel when the "I didn't think that would happen" happens?
My dad took my cross country skiing with a similar setup. I got motion sick and puked down his neck XD
But I lived to tell about it. They took me backpacking all the time when I was an infant as well.

look he wants to hit the jump haha
LOL awesome but dude what if u crash u could kill your kid
noxire777, i agree, way to risky
yeah, me too...this is irresponsible parenting.
hes to good to crash jk lol this needs pod
yea i agree. what he does with his kid is kinda risky, but look at this dude's album, he does some pro stuff, so how on earth would he crash on such a little jump.
It only takes one little slip to crash. Pros crash all the time.
i agree if its just a little wet your tire could slip around a corner
LOL that is priceless, what does mommy think though?
Everyone tha some day soon this will be pod. the only thing is like what if you fall and crush the little dude. either way this photo is pricless
not photoshop, fellas, kid's really gettin air. just look at that face!
i could see where the photoshop argument would come into play, but that baby is a charger! no photoshop there. pod!
its a small jump.. if i fall.. he's behind me.. which means i cop the impact..
again though.. its a very small jump, his mother took that pic btw.
i don't have time to use photoshop.. i barely know how to use it.. and if i did, i'd be
building my website up.

I don't care if his mother took the picture.....it's a bad idea.
And if you go over the handlebars? and land on your back? if you fall and roll? If you wanna kill your kid then fair do's, if not then...
And wtf your kid gets no helmet but you do? http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1713445/
I really hope that's real, and if it is then Pod for sure. That's awesome.
awsome picture man......looks real to me!
POD, thats so cool, baby should be doing a no hander!
wow your baby is so rad !!!!!!!!!!
very funny, made me smile.

awesome. start em out young thats what i reckon.
hahaha if I had a kid I'll be doing the same way!
very positive!
That's dope man ..
don't crash!!
don't crash!!
I wish i have that kind of dad
hahaha wat an experience for the kid
probly turn out to be a future world champ
very responsible...
Lokks pretty cool, but that seems really wreckless and immature. if he crashes his hid could be seriously hurt or killed.
oh man that is pod, yeah great picture,
it looks strange for me, imagine when the bikes touches the ground, and the baby is probably 3-4 years old. Can a child of that age be aware of the necessity to suppress the stroke?....And then see what happens to the child's head.... I'm not saying that it is photoshopped, I'm just saying that it is a bit irresponsible...
now for the jump next to you, aha jokes pic
um, i got 2ft of air on a table top.. how much whip lash can he get from a smooth landing with 7" of travel in the front and 6 in the back, and a complete soakup with my knees?
i can feel his head move when i land .. its a soft touch on my back.
yeah yeah yeah i'm a shitty father, just don't you go drinking and driving.. or making any mistakes in your life.. or taking any risks.. what if i dropped him while i was holding him?
how many bike stacks with babys are there, to babies dropped with head injuries? blah blah blah, just enjoy the picture.

Agreed bro. Who the hell do these ppl think they are judging what kind of father u are. I think that its a great way to spend time with your child. Right now I am in Iraq and i wont even be able to LOOK at my son for at least 15 months. As long as ur are not hurting the kid, and obviously he is having a blast; I say do it 100%
Exactly. that picture is sick. i couldn't agree more
I with ya. My guess is this kid is not going to grow up playing video games and be scared to go outside and get dirty.
i wouldn't say you're a bad father, but there's always that one chance that you could fall on your baby.
you're obviously a very skilled rider but anything can happen, like a mechanical.
i don't understand how you don't see this.

Thevish,
Your the best dad ever! I just sent this to my girlfriend and told her when we have kids, she's going to work. I'll be staying in and looking after the kids..
Your an inspriation to us all, as they say on Pinkbike, "Share the ride", you sir are doing exactly that.
Your a legend.

mommy is out of town...let's go ridin!
ahh that was good for a morning laugh.
Remember not to try backflips with the baby on board!!
happy father with baby... beauty
hey squantoberger "no way she has a helmet on"..are you serious..ever heard of a broken neck,...her little face is wide open, how's the helmet going to save that. HELMETS DO NOT MAKE YOU INDISTRUCTABLE PEOPLE..i'm sorry, i'm all for havin' fun with your kids, but that looks just a little too risky, the consequenses could be devestating.
awsome best pod in a while
by the way dude, i would never call that "being a bad father" you're spending time with your kid, which is more than alot of so-called fathers do. you're giving him memories he's probably going to have forever. i just think of the consequences if something does happen.
