I mean like I've always worn a helmet, but now that you see pro riders wear them, it really makes you look more professional, what's cool is how riders get their own sig helmets, and it seems that a lot of people buy them!

All this talk about helmets really got me wondering. How many people would die with no seat belts, or eaven air bags. ive read most of the comments and see one particular person sunning his mouth about how helmets are gay. A helmet is just like a seat belt, a percausion to keep you safe. i would much rather look weird with a helmet than take the chance of brain damage. in fact it has happened. head first into a tree but because of my helmet i got up and rode to the bike shop ad bought a new one. Helmets save lives and alow you to laugh at the people doing stupid things around you instead of lying in a bed waiting for somone to feed you.

When I DH or jump i wear a helmet, as well as shin guards and other protective gear if i can afford it. actually in a way it is (well worse) cuz im damn sure the examples in the pictures didnt do that damage while cruzing down to the local 7/11
but it is posible to get that f*cked up by riding down the road and getting hit by a car, no matter what how far you're riding it always pays to wear a helmet

yea this should be advertised everywhere its straight to the point my mate doesnt wear a helmet and once he fell he got a concusion from landing on his head, he was pretty lucky
i'm the only rider in my town thats wears a lid, nobody else does because they look stupid...so what if they do, i'd rather not have brain damage.

i always have mine on, even when mucking around on the driveway, i woulld have killed myself a few times if i didnt wear one, so all you who think helmets suck, i think being spoon fed and having 4 rods sticking out of your shoulders to support your head and being spoon fed sucks more

heh heh heh. He forgot one thing... when you get to stick your hand up a nurses dress; as a vegetable, you'll never get the full enjoyment mmuch less any pleasure out of it. I have been through a few lids and thanks to those stupid hideous head coverings, I am here to tell about it and laugh at the stupid mistakes I made while on the trail (never look back in a run) I think this photo should be the staple in which our LBS should have posted. I think I know quite a few (loosely used) riders that should be wearing helmets while walking. Then they should have to notify the hospital and staff if they are going to go for a ride. Because it is inevitable that (THEY) are going to get hurt. ugh argh OMFRIGGIN GOD! The guys just need to find a hobby such as RC racing and leave the riding to people that aren't so apt to get hurt while doing this dangerous act

a trail near us got destroyed recently coz some guy not wearing a helmet mashed his face up and tried to sue the landowner so now we dont have a proper downhill track all because of some loser who thought he looked cooler without a helmet on

i fell back when i was trying to jump of steps and hit my head on the steps, i was knocked out for like 20 seconds and threw up and saw stars. i WAS wearing a helmet which was extrememly lucky because if i haddnt been i hate to think what could have happened.

I road passed a group of Yobs/Chavs and they starting laughing at me because I had my helmet on, All you can see really is that I care about my life and I dont want to have brain damage unlike you twats who dont have no brains to look after

ive been ridin less than a year and a couple of months ago bought a helmet, never felt safer on a bike in my life
yea agreed helmets are a good idea. i saw some douche bag get kicked out of rays mtb be cause he didn't have a helmet. he argued with ray him self about it. he got his ass handed to him.

definitly deserves POD because so many people die every year because of not wearing helmets and i think it's stupid that all they had to do is put something on their head to save their lives and they didn't. if this was POD it would make the riding community on pinkibke more aware of the wonder of helmets and how they can really help you.
one ofthe problems is some helmets look gay so people dont want to wear them and good looking ones are more expensif but i think u look retarded if u dont wear one any way weather its more expensif or not
assess the risk, than decide for yourself whether on not you wanna risk injury by riding with or without one.

if i didnt wear my helmet i would have so many cuts on the top of my head and probably 2 concussions because once when i aired out my front wheel clipped the decking and went head first into concrete i couldnt see for like 15seconds but i thought what of what happened if i didnt wear it
i probaly would have cracked my head open if i didnt were 1 i aired a jump and came flying headfirst into this really hard dirt
i was ridng a bleacher to drop off it and i smashed my head on a metal pole and almost cracked my full face in half, shit saved my life i still had a concussion but atleast im not dead
