Sick colours, sick parts, defo one of the nicest builds i've seen...BUT i do think the demo suits a dual crown fork(just my opinion)

why would u get deemaxx's tehn put those hubs on? what a waste, the rims suck without the hubs. i like component choices tho, and i also like the fork! same as mine!

The hubs that come on DeeMax wheels are such shit. Obviously you've never had to take one apart. Those hubs are above and beyond the stock Mavic ones.

Only things I would change are the brake levers (to new M770 XT levers), derailleur (to new XT Shadow mid cage), and rear shock (to DHX Air 5.0). Probably save at least a pound with those upgrades. Other than that, beautiful bike.

agree.. the new xt levers are nice, maybe someday when i can get the new straitline lever for that tipe.
also i noticed that dhx air in this old demo can only be used in 'high BB' possition.

thanks guys... the build is mostly based on function :
- dh tracks here don't have huge rockgardens... and the totem air is currently my FAVOURITE fork - you have to try one to open your perspective about SC vs. DC
- saint RD is due to the mounting system that's straight to the axle (peace of mind) also little details like circlips on the pulley bolts (so they don't break loose) and adjustable bumper (FSR friendly) etc...
- hope hubs on 823s (deemax with 32H) is based on weight savings and to avoid problematic freewheel pawls on mavic hubs... at 2150gr this wheelset is lite, strong enough & tubeless... which can save more rotational weight.

cheers...

You should check out the way the new XT M773 GS "Shadow" derailleur works. I get absolutely no chain slap on my Enduro FSR with one.
