Ouchies!
wtf? stupid bitch lolololol "sundays are not supposed to be compressed like this man! thats bad man" o_0 lololol
Hahaha, you guys are the idiots. No suspension is meant to be bottomed like that, that is why forks and rear shocks have adjustments, so no, I am not the idiot here.
acturly no. for dh you should set the suspension up so that its just bottoms out when doin a decent sized drop. this guy has got it rite if hes landin a drop to flat. which he probably is as his tyres are compressed as well
wileskws What the hell are you talkin about, of course suspension is meant to bottom out, it wouldnt be suspension otherwise, mite aswell run rigids if you dont want your sus to bottom out.
wileskws is on to something, suspension is not supposed to bottom. However its designed so that both suspension and the bike can handle it, because the second you run soft enough to compete at any level of DH racing you will bottom out, that I garentee. So although it is not healthy for the bike it really doesn't hurt it cause its designed to take the abuse.
look heres a pic showing the jump itself

bouncing soul, no full suspension is made to bottom out, and wiles, i dont think he wanted to do that
anyway, cool to see the dw link suspension in action and bottomed out, shows you just how it works..

Yea i do like the way you can see the link suspension fully compressed. It also looks like the
bike handled the impact very well considering his body position.

ryan every full suspension is suppposed to bottome out ok First a why would they have different rebound the farthur you go through the travel? B what about the rubber stopper in the rear shock? I bottom my bike out pry once or twice a day on full day rides. And i run stiffer than normal springs and am a good rider.............soooooooo yeah it is healthy but not all the time and judging by that dudes pic his springs are way way too soft because look at his body postion when i bottom out I am shitacking hardcore!
I think it goes A, then B, not first, then B......I think you've caught the dumb, that sh*ts been going around lately on all these bottom out photos.....adfiounsrkgljnwarzgiopuQBNEWFklsDJNVbnSIOEb
So, you bottom your bike DAILY, I just got that part, I hope your frame snaps, but if you're sooooooooooo gooood........yeaaaaahh
Im fairly sure a properly set up shock (for DH) is supposed to bottom a few times a ride, over jumps etc, due to the sag and stiffness settings.
wileskws What are you talking about? dude-o is perfectly right about bottoming out your bike with proper sag rates. The bike is a sunday which is a race specific dh bike thus springs are supposed bottom out and I think I know my stuff about bikes and consider myself a good rider. Why you hating? Go back to highschool and learn some manners kid. But then again this is pinkbike
hey a dh bike is made to get beat up thats why there so beefed up with suspension and super strong frames. now im no expert of any kind but i mean i agree with pistol2ne guy that the rubber stop is to help you so u dont blow out ur shok. and ya dh bikes do have softer set up to get over things a lil better and smoother but i mean come on use it to its fullest. just my opinion

did he damage the fork and the rear shock or did it go oky? but for sure it is a nice pic? maybe POD
obviously not, shocks and forks are supposed to bottom out once or twice every run. It means your using your suspension to its ful potential.

Its supposed to bottom out once or twice every run, as i've said before its using your suspension to its full potential.
fork and shock should be bottomed out like once or twice in dh run....or in regular riding as well....you can read that in your shock and forks settings.....if you dont bottom out it means that you have your suspesion set up wrong, too stiff.....and I guess that there´s nothing wrong with this pic...I have sunday too!!!!

aint it coz hes landing off the final Jump? and every bike does bottom out, just depedns what style ur on.
theres a pic of brendan fairclough doin this 2 his sunday accept his pedals are hitting the ground!!!!!!
It's cool that the photographer caught that moment where the bike is almost at dead bottom. Usualy bottom out pics are really blury.
that iron horse has quite a bit of travel and you've gotta be doing something pretty big to bottom it out, and the boxxer tems on the front !! ??
he better hope his recoil is on like barely anything or he's going to need a bender bike from how high in the air the recoil is going to send him.
ever heard of rebound adjustment? if your getting bucked off your bike on landings your doin something wrong
cheers for the comments guys ... i took this picture . the rider has just done the last jump at the last round off pearce cycles summer series 2007
coolll
I now would like buy a boxxer team and after this picture i know the fork move out the full way
perfect

I think that bike is made to survive this if it happens...But i think if you would do this every single day no sunday woukd survive that

lol, that takes some doing!!! cool picture though , the rider looks so relaxed little does he know that his feet are centimetrs from the floor
for a second it looked like the rear part snapped off but then i noticed its connected lil higher, but man thats pretty intense
wileskws your just a d1ck head so just dont say any more sh1t ok !!! jesus crist ur wrong!!! suspensoin is meant to nearly bottem out !!!
He cased a landing, of course he's going to bottom out, if not his suspension would be set up too stiff. The take off for that jump is hard to hit with enough speed to clear the landing...
everyones a critic!! I spose everyone here who has complained about this pic are perfect and has never done something bad to a bike!! its not the end of the world to compress alot and if you dont clear that jump you land to flat and you get thrown up high so you come down a fair height!!
[Reply]
you should try to compress a bit of youre body too you're solid like a stick on that bike that's why you bottemed out so badly
