wow thats amazing for lighting and the backround, and then you have the rider whos pulling off an awesome nfc on a curb!!
Am I the only one, who really likes more those picture where you can see the entire photo set-up better then the zoom-in picture? Because this is one NICEEE shoot! I'm going in the new-york china town to buy myself some flash..

yeah great pic. the shadow on the wall is mint, would be good if you got a shot of just the shadow on its own too, but great pic n trick anyways.

Cool pic, but I think people need to read the description, if it were to be used for anything it would be cropped down to get the stands out of the pic, and the shadow aggainst the wall makes it look poorly thought out imo, but seeing as how I reckon it would be a crop its AOK

would have been cool if he was actually doing a DIALED no foot can. hes not extended at all. but oter than that everything else in the pic is really cool

Great shot!
Just my 2c. Think it would improve ur lighting a bit if u rotated the head of the flash on the right & had it vertically, would get more light on his back wheel while keeping him nice & bright. Exposure on the sky is great & like that you can see ur setup.

I tried this shot just for the heck of it, this was the only shot from the night where I had my stands in the photo, but I will try that next time!

Really impressive pic man. Just a question, did you do this using a dual exposure/HDR type method? Guess what I'm really wondering is how you got the sky so bright when you must have used a fairly fast shutter speed.
No HDR effect, I simply used the camera to meter on the sky, this gave me a shutter speed of 1/160 of a second at F11. I then adjusted my flashes to fire at a high out put to make the rider pop out of the dark background.
Why would people diss this picture? I think it's f*ckin sweet. The lighting, the sky, the rider. Definitely worth pod.
