That's not the point, the point is, whether they like it or not, they have to be examples. If they don't want to wear a helmet, fine. However, the kid that watches that and decides to imitate and ends up in a coma, thats why it matters. I know you could say, it's the kids responsibility, or the parents, but I guarantee that the kid will pay more attention to the rider than there parents, and 12-13yo's aren't known for fantastic judgement. I really don't feel like it is out of the question to ask these guys getting paid to ride to wear a helmet. and you need spell check like none other.

keithbramlette, you are gay. i beleive the site is called "pinkbike" not "pinkmountainbikeonly". this is an amazing photo, and it was one of the best bmx stories in a while with amazing photos. so expand your horizans past your little mountainbike-only world 
WTF it looks like a photo shop cus the background looks like its not in perfect harmony but the rider bmx and jump look real so maybe the back ground is photoshoped but if the back ground is photo shoped that doesnt make a difrence in the riding. nice pic guys

I have been going to school for photography for several years now, and when i see photoshop, I will know photoshop. This picture is perfect, the angle, the timing, the focus, everything. The only reason I'd say this looks photoshoped, is because:
REASON 1) Photographer position, he is sittin quite low compared to the biker, and most likely zoomed in, making the rider bigger compared to his surroundings.
REASON 2) The background, In my opinion, the base of the waterfall is no more than 30-45 meters away from the ramp, so give or take, with common sense, you can see the photo was taken when the biker was at the highest point of the water fall, give or take 40-55 meters away, making him look as if he was photoshoped, and he is standing out.
Thank you for reading, hope this satisfied anyone's questioning on photoshop, or not.

why does the description say corey martinez? anyway, sick shot, mr cohan certainly knows how to throw the clicked wiggle bum style moves.
I like BMX, and I like mountain biking, ride both, and have absolutely nothing but respect for either. I would usually let this go but you are completely wrong. BMX and MTB both came up about the same time, the mid to late 70's(the mid 50's in europe). MTB came from "klunkers" or modified cruisers. They were steel frames with coaster brakes and no suspension. the idea for BMX bikes came from people riding schwinn stingrays off road and imitating motocross riders and the tricks they were doing(generalizing). The two sports developed separately, but at the same time.
also, both types of bikes have evolved tremendously, each for their respective uses, and those evolutions have been crucial to the sports. If you want to be original, take a Schwinn Excelsior to whistler and a sting ray to woodward and see how it goes.
