Hello All!! This is Rob-J from Germany and I'm the guy in the Pic. I just logged in my first time in pinkbike cause someone told me today that my shot is pic of the day here on this page. It funny to read all the comments that some of you think its photoshoped... haha. The shot was taken by RONNY KIAULEHN, a amazing german Photographer. That was last year in winter on the Canary Island Fuerteventura. I found this spot and this singletrack in front of it. It was a big wave day, big swell and it took me like 30 times to get myself into the right spot on the track when the Wave hit the wrack in the same time. It was fun and also really epic. Youre wellcome to visit my myspace website to see more pics of me: www.myspace.com/robelix
has that dude hacked other ppl cz i got banned off pinkbike for 10 year that is until i said i didnt do it anyway that is a totally epic pod you will never see sumthing like that again props to the photographer
One of the more original pics I have ever seen. Excellent place to shoot....could be better angle wise, but nonetheless definitely POD in my eyes. Props to the Photographer!
I can't believe all you guys who say that this is photo shopped. I guess that you think that every amazing shot in every magazine is photo shopped too. people do get insane pictures like this. props to whoever this was riding. mad props to all who took part in this picture.
POD for sure dog!
peace
to konafag12: ur a *ag and its funny how you talk shit and then everyone hates you and you try to play it off like you got hacked. thats f*cking pathetic. i really hope you die. really.
this pic is so crazy and all you guys who say this is photo shopped you just don´t know what you´re talking about and you´re just jealus. i know that this pic is real because i was there 3 years ago and this is exactly what it looks like. the only thing which is different that the boat now crashed down a bit more, before it looked even better. but sick picture anyways and it defenately deserves POD
his bike and skills are soo nice that the captain of the boat got side-attracted, next thing you know... its a really epic photo, awseme quality pic too!
While I feel sorry for the Guy for the loss of his Boat, I'm happy He was able to Save his Bike and he doesn't seem bothered by it... his crewmate made an excelent choice in saving the camera and is a better photographer than a sailor.. lol.. prop's.
to be fair your more WOWing at the boat...its like WOW look at the sea on a boat....hang wheres the rider? oh look there he is, POD?!...get what i mean?
naw thats the real thing... the ship in the backround is the ss star i thing but it was a passanger ship and was sold to some country for scrap but during the vojage to the new countrie the tow lines snaped and the ship was left there for good
Ok. So, first off. This is an amazing picture. Absolutely Epic. Second, I would like to raise money to hire a professional hitman to set on little Konaboy12 because he is annoying as hell. So if you have change laying around (in your couch) then fish it out and donate. To a very worthy cause
i had a feeling this was either in Morrocco or the Canaries... the color of the water and the dirt gave me that feeling
Epic POD, rad shot! definitley takes alot of patience to wait for a wave to hit and get the shot as well!
the water is spraying out the portholes because a huge wave just crashed into the boat... the boats deck is probably disinigrated, so the water just goes right on through to the portholes... which give 80,000 gallons of water 5 inches to fit through in about 1 second... get it now?
and wow, if i took a pic of someone surfing a wave that breaks right alongside a grounded ship, would everyone think its photoshopped? think about this pic and check out the guy who posted a link to side-angle pics of this setup!!! its faaar from phohshopped!
Dude thats one of the sickest pod's ever, who cares if hes not going off some huge drop or flying through a trail, the background is amazing, timing for that shot is incredible, great job!
I believe it's the same ship. Thats just high tide. I remember reading about how quickly they had to set up to get out of there before high tide, I think i see what they mean
pod for shit !!!!! what the f*ck is the pod ? te guy who rides the bike or that sinking f*ckin ship .... stupid ppl .... pinkbike sucks it get's worst as days pas by !
What the heck are you on about? The shadows do match up! I should be able to tell I'm a photographer, and this is a great photo. Can't you accept that people can take great photos?
