nice one man!
Yeah i'll agree with your first statement, however i prefer the riding bit the most.
The photographer really captured the scene at its peak moment, not to mention great riding!

Great timing from the photog. Nice style on the x-up.
How common is it to ride with the rear break on the left side?

Well that's how it is in motocross, so maybe he does moto as well. Also, it seems to be the norm in Europe.
I could be wrong, but I think in the UK, they run brakes opposite what we have in North America. When you think about it, it makes sense to have the dominant hand on the front brake considering the front provides most stopping power.
Good POD too.

No its not the norm to run your rear brake on the left in Europe (to be honest, I don't recognize your flag "mborgia", sry and I am from central Europe), only motorized bikes, quads and mopeds run it on the left. However some people indeed run it on the left side because they ride motorized stuff as well.
Also, it seems that the American education system doesn't educate its people about more than the American continent. - Yes there is other parts of the world too, you should sail the ocean and discover NEW CONTINENTS !!!! how exciting !!! but don't try to get credit for discovering them
I am stereotyping here...

This picture is perfect. And i had no idea American's run there brakes differently from us!! I would be straight over the bars from pressing the wrong brake
since when do dirtbikes have the rear brake on the left side of the handlebars? more like right foot. unless you don't have a clutch and you are riding an automatic powerwheels
Its the norm for front brake on the right, rear on the left in the UK, its different on the continent and north america, and most of the world i belive? Motorbikes run front brakes on the right hand and rear brakes on the right foot. Cleared up?
Nice pic lloyd, the sky looks ace!

its all about the style of riding and and the style of the shot
not every pod has to be like 50 ft of air with a double backflip
its nice that not just the pro riders get pod for a sick picture.

about the brake thing. Imagine riding down the wrong (left) side of the street and signaling (some people do this) with your right hand when you need to stop suddenly - you sqeeze your front brake and things go very wrong really fast... ahhh
and speaking of all of this brake talk, i love how the rider has his finger on the brake while doin a x-up. sick pic, def POD

Motocross does not have the back brake on the left... The clutch is on the left and the front brake is on the right... The throttles on the right so that means the clutch has to be on the left... the back brake is on the right side near the peg
the motocross disc isnt on the back stupid ass the chain is and the rear brake is used by your foot not ur hand

fo shizzle....people like to bitch. Heaven forbid we enjoy the photo because he's shredding it up. No,no...He's not doing this, he's not doing that... The pic doesn't have this..It's not as good as that.If you want to critique a photo go take a photography class, go browse a website where proffesional photographers compare work. This site is for people who like to shred. Every day I get on and check out the pod and everday I love it. You know y..Its another person doing the same thing I love to do...show some dude walking out of McDonalds I might no be to happy. Where in the world does it say that Pod has be some dude doing gnar shit in a sick patch of scenery. Sh!t, show some 5 year old getting on his bike wtih no training wheels for the first time..thats dope..isn't it?this isn't the yacht club..it's not reserved for the biggest and the best. So props to the fellas who show nothing but love. You know where it's at......peace

correct me if im wrong but isnt oscar6969 the ignorant one that doesnt recognize the welsh flag... and a canadian rider actually told oscar6969 what the flag was!!! so how can you say that abou the canadians!!
I really like the simplicity and the clean look. No useless effects, no flashes, just some nice riding and a nice composition of the Image. Well done.
how come people say nice photo, which it obviously is, and get negative props? kinda stupid if you ask me..

why are there so many cynics on this site? does it hurt to be encouraging? the more good photos of our sport the better cause it can bring it more publicity if more people are exposed to it due to more pictures being around and if it becomes more popular (as it has been getting in the past few years) then maybe there will be more development in it which can benefit us bikers (by the way in ireland we have no places to ride legally, and no uplifts except on race weekends) so if people see that more people are biking then people may be more likely to invest in ventures such as uplifts benifiting us bikers and their wallets
I had to check and I noticed you havent been a member for long - to be honest, people are cynical, critical or just outright rude for one reason - because they can be! They're allowed to be like that, mods dont do enough, unlike on certain other bike websites.

people take there front brake off for loads of reasons 1. being that weight to some people a few hundred grams makes a lot of difference 2. doing tricks like xups and barspins alike having cables all overthe place makes it difficult and anoying so a long back brake is a good compromise 3. riding styles not everyone needs to run a front brake it can be just unecessary and if u get used to riding just a back brake youll get used to it. 4. visual a bike looks so much cleaner without a front brake it looks simple and its cheaper and easier to maintain. so thats why so many people take there front brake off

man what a candian, that is an awesome pic, it doesnt matter what trick, or how many people can do it, its the style, angle, ighting etc, all photographer know that!!
Here is a REAL POD ! Why ? Because it's not POD because of the trick but because the photo is beautiful !
