yeah... he was doing it on a windy day and got blown out. landed almost flat, pretty much a 40 foot fall to a shallow bank, and ruptured his spleen. at least i think it was his spleen

its real, watch some old vert footage of matt and you'll see, he put his body on the line so many times coming up with stuff, this was long before foam/resi pits
