rideayeti You what ? you crashed ? That is why you better off just stay with some commuter set up on Tesco bikes, that will save you some money till you learn how to use a real bike like 303 Yeti...

I know iv gotten neg props.. but i ended up buying a 303r dh and the hwole point is to A) force the wheel into a more linear rotation.. and B the rail keeps the back end SUPER stiff..
  • - 1
flag audeo03 (Jun 10, 2009 at 9:44)
Ummm... A MORE LINEAR ROTATION??? That is an oxy-moron. Go back to school please.

flag rideayeti (Jun 10, 2009 at 11:43)
quote from yeticycles.com "by using the linear rail we can optimize the chock rate, optimize the lateral stiffness of the frame.... it also limits the shock rotation to less than 5 degrees from full extensionj to compression." therefore it forces the rotation of the swing arm into a more linear motion.

flag bender (May 23, 2008 at 6:10)
yeah, it's like trek's new bikes. got one of them 1 1/8 into 1 1/5 or whatever it is style headtubes. small to beer can large!

flag fr3erid3r (Jun 20, 2008 at 0:25)
hmm... whats the point of that?
  • + 0
flag JamesOliver (Jun 23, 2008 at 8:10)
Because the thicker steerer tube is stronger and alot of big travel single crowns come with 11/5 steerers now
  • + 1
flag rideayeti (Jul 25, 2008 at 22:05)
because on "big" bike the lower section on the headtube take like 85 pecent of the pressure so by making it bigger it can take more strain, and it sasves weight by having a smaller top headtube
and it looks dope

no it don't, if you said turner highline rbut even that would be wong cause the yeti has rails and no other has.

flag seraph (Sep 7, 2008 at 21:46)
The only reason it looks like a Socom is because they're both made out of aluminum and they're both bikes.
