Everyone seems to think just because it says photoshopped it means he didn't do the drop. When this guy says photoshopped, he means he enhanced the original photo's color, clarity, contrast and may have added effects. Don't be fooled into thinking he didn't do the drop just because it says photoshopped.
He did do the drop. If you look at the edge of the drop, you can see where dirt is falling down the face where he just dropped.
C'mon guys settle down, don't start calling eachother nazi's or french fries. This guy did the drop and sure its photoshopped, but isnt every other picture on pinkbike? The people who hit gap-o-tron are pros and also it's sculpted to be a perfect landing. The whole point of this POD is that he isn't a pro and this is natural terrain. PODs whould be very boring if they were always pro's on sculpted terrain. I think it's great when an every-day person can make POD doing something that most people wouldn't do. I also don't care that his photoshop isn't "professional." Everyone is ripping on him cause his photoshop isn't top quality but who cares? The essence of the photo is what matters here. Everyone who is dissing this guy and this photo aren't true riders.

in my humble opinion, the term "photoshopped" should be used for pics that have been cut and pasted or just fake period, not enhanced...

to all the retards who dont know what photoshop is, photoshop is used for picture editing to change the hue/staturation/colours or to crop it and so on

Beeing photoshoped doesn't mean it's fake! The guy just did some colour balance, blurs, glows and changed the sky. If you take a look at his album you'll see what I mean. BTW, if you knew a bit about PS, you would notice most of the PODs are photoshopped.

he has put a blur filter onto the background and left the bike out, so the actual drop and everything is real, but its made to look like only the bike and kicked up sand is in focus

haha, WOW! i hit drop's that are 20 feet tall on my hard tail, look on youtube in about a month and lookj up nothern freak riders, haha, you'll see!
nice pic. i do think the blur function was misused, causing the depth of field to look unnatural, like its a tiny rider on a tiny surface. if anything, the foreground should be slightly out of focus, and definately not the ledge of the drop that he is still in line with. but i can see that maybe you used the blur to hide the edge for the sky replacement you performed. masking trees is hard, but with a little more practice youll get it. coloring looks good, and definately a nice drop. next time just work with the actual picture instead of trying to change too much in ps. cheers!

Photo shopped, the rider is detailed and the scene is blurry. Don't believe me? look how dark the dirt is and how the dirt behind is going back wards lol, this is the shittiest photo shop I've ever scene.

im sure the original picture was completely in focus. the blur that you see is a gaussian blur, not a motion blur. it is clearly a post production effect. on a slow drop such as this one, a motion blur from panning to keep the subject in focus would not produce a large amount of actual blur. it is a photoshop, and a poor one at that. but we all gotta start somewhere. im sure the guy who made this one is going to learn some better fundamentals before posting another pic, look at all the critisism hes getting. lol. ouch.

I would agree that this is a Sick drop on a hardtail, BUT HATE THE PHOTO, the photoshopping is totally overdone, makes the shop look completely fake. Yeah all us photographers use photoshop is increase sharpening(all digital cameras come out a little soft!), contrast etc, but this is just WAY overdone. I'd like to see the original pic, I'm certain it would look WAY BETTER!

You fully riders have to understand, that isn't a big drop for a hardtail. I've constantly gone off 6' drops to flat on a hardtail, and while it may be a tad on the rough side, you do have legs and arms to compensate. I'm pretty sure many freeride hardtail riders can back me up in saying that 10' is easily achievable with a slanted landing, you guys just need to learn how to ride.

I am really on the fence with this picture. As far a composition goes, it's a pretty shitty picture. As cool as it looks, it was probably snapped a bit late. It is a pretty gnar drop for a hardtail, but realistically bigger shit has been hucked on hartails. I'm not even going to touch the whole photoshop debate today. Now that I think about it more, I don't like this POD. The riding is on point, but the photo itself is lacking. Better luck tomorrow.......GARBAGE.

You can do anything on a hardtail as a full suspension, you just need to be a better biker. This drop isn't huge, but it is a step down drop, but it's in sand. It's about how it looks, it would need a wider shot but that would make the drop look smaller so it's a small pic. Props Though How, or what you did.
