Wow, this is so much different from PODs or really any shot I have seen before. I like it a lot though, sick shot! The goggles look sweet too!

aaustin--camera is tilted about 30 degrees. look at the angle of the grass, the fern and the trail in the background. it doesn't matter though because tilting made the photo better. what's wrong with that?

It does look damn good. And kudos for stating it's been tilted; as long as it isnt an attempt to decieve then I guess there's no problem.
it's actually pretty easy to notice if you see that the fork is not compressed much. If the rider was actually leaning this far into the turn, the fork would be a lot more compressed.

Nice picture, nice moment, but not sure if a POD quality, the picture is out of focus, a lot of too dark areas and the crop isn't so great too... sorry if I displease someone, but this is my point of view

...and the DOF is too short for this sort of shot. The rider's out of focus. It's underexposed, but from the looks of things, it was a pretty dull day anyways.

i think it may just be my monitor but it looks like there is way too much contrast on this pic, and is also rather dark

i think everyone is over exaggerating a little, the berm is fairly big anyway and its a very fast bit of track, the camera man wasn't trying to create a 'fake' pic, he created something different, take a look at the other pics in my album, hes one hell or a photographer and rider, tilt the monitor to where you think it should be, the shot still looks cool in my mind

Looks like whoever developed the photo put the negative in backwards, look at the graphics on the fork.
Cool pic, it doesn't even look like Settez! Cockermouth is called Cockermouth because it is at the mouth of the river Cocker. Nothing to do with blood suckin, or cock suckin!!!

this is shit. I'm not trying to be a jerk but... the rider is soft, the camera is tilted, the colours arent good and the composition sucks. Im shure there were a lot of better photos added yesterday.
Just a few quick and objective points on this one:
1. Rider isn´t sharp at all
2. The composition is just wrong and doesnt work at all
3. Colours are nice, at least I think so
4. The pointless tilting doesnt help it anyways
