crazy!
Makes you wonder if people like sharkyboy see things the same way the rest of us do... A comment like that can only be ignorance. As for the cycle, brilliant idea to get disabled people out for a ride.
i wouldnt say its a waste, if you want to ride and you cant because of a disability this is the best thing. Although i would say it is ridicously expensive for what it is.
I think its reasonable because its like buying 2 bikes because it has 2 wheels, 2 shocks, etc. plus the frame is custom made and all those pivots have to be well designed...
the point im getting at is i find it really harsh to charge disabled people so much money for things that will help them lead a normal life. Look at wheelchairs. They are over 30k sometimes which is crazy. Some mad bastards are making loads of money out of peoples disabilities.
sharkyboy are you crazy? Maybe his friend is disabled and he still wants to ride. think before you post.
sharkyboy

how come the back dosnt have torsion bars like the front. looks really fun and fairplay to your mate
The back has a trailing arm. Pretty much works the same as a full suspension mtb. Only its a double trailing arm instead. Because it has 2 rear wheels of coarse.
sure but surley it would benefit to have 4 wheel independant suspension. although cost would increase some what
Man thats really a sick bike. I guess it should also have a roll cage.. just incase it flips or something like that.
The handle bars seem far forward and low. When he drives this bike he must have his chin on his knees?
Looks like your body would still take a beating since you're sitting at the end of the trailing arm, unless there is some more bumb absorbtion under the seat. still looks like a kick ass ride.
i might be wrong but in similar photo this type DH wheelchair bike have 4 BRAKE levers
2 in icht side, its that true???

just wondering...how does it move? DH only or is there some sort of motor or drive train... something?
