WTF, thats crazy!!
all you need is some duct tape, paper clips, guacamole, and plasma cutter. then i can solve that problem.
Transition have a "lifetime crash replacement" on these frames....did it cover this?? hope so dude cos that would of been heart breaking...
!!!! what the hell - i thought steel frames would never brake - only bent! i´ve lost my trust into steel frames right now :l
could there be a probability that konas are one of the brands people buy the most? so that would lead to a higher confidence interval that konas would break? cuz of the large population of people buying konas? i think..for example..for paintballing, a tippmann is a product almost everyone buys, so by the large sample of people using this type of gun would have a large sample of people with their defects of the gun also? which is the same situation as the kona frame snapping problem? or..it could be the fact that people are just using their konas for the wrong uses..
lol, my comment above, was supposed to be on another photo, i had two tabs open at the same time and i cclicked on the wrong one...lol...
yeah, at first we had just thought that he'd snaped his seat post or a pedal-till we saw the frame folded at 90 degrees lol

would have expected something else to break like the pedals or the fork/headtube. That sucks quite a bit for you.

Straight from the transition website:
# FRAME FEATURES: 4130 Butted Chromoly Tubing
# Sizes: Small (14"), Medium (14"), Large (14")
# Colors: Raw Chromoly, White, Yellow....
4130 = Cromoly

"41xx steel is a family of high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels, as specified by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Alloying elements include chromium and molybdenum, and as a result these materials are often referred to as chromoly steel, or cro-mo, or CRMO. They have an excellent strength to weight ratio, are easily welded and are considerably stronger and more durable than standard 1020 steel."

My main question would be what did you do? No flipping way a frame would break like that from landing on a transition. Maybe a 50ft drop to flat? What did you do toss it off a cliff?
thats what happens when you wash a cro moly frame you idiot.
