There's no way that's 33.9 lbs. I'm sorry, but that's what my S-Works Enduro weighs and almost everything I have is lighter than what's on that bike.

The socom is a super ligth DH frame with almost XC frame weigth. This setup is realy ligth and this is realy 33.9 lbs beleave it or not,the scale isn't lying because it messure's on the gram precise.BTW The new trek session 88(special edition) weigth's at 32.4 lbs and is the new ligth weigth DH champion.

The Socom frame weighs almost 9 lbs. That's not XC frame weight in any book, sir. You reek of lies.

Guys you have to take into consideration that a 12 y/o girl rides this bike. I mean how do you know it doesn't have XC tubes, carbon bars, and carbon spacers? You dont...

The weight you'd save from all those things you listed would be MAYBE 100 grams. You do the math.

@trekules > Some of the build is not that lightweight. Just compare this socom to the sickline s build and you will see that in most cases the sicklines one wins and it weights more. A lot of ppl have bikes with ligther parts and still weighting MUCH more. I don't doubt it's ligth but unless the bike sheds weight in some mystical places unknown to most riders there is litle chance for 33.9.

I would be amazed if this really weighed 33.9lbs, my completely ridgid, single spead ns capital weighs 26.5lbs and the frame on that weighs 5lbs! This is bullshit this bike doesn't weigh 7 pounds more than my capital its not possible, it has twice that amount of components!

Look, if the bike had Mini Pros, XTR cranks, a Boxxer WC, a Thomson Masterpiece post, an X.O short cage derailleur, and folding DH tires (700-850g each), then I might begin to believe that it's as light as you say it is. As it's built, I'd guess it's around 36-38 lbs. I think you need to re-calibrate your scale, man.

Put a BoXXer WC on that and it'll be even lighter.
