i'll probably sound retarded, but why are those for sand? aren't they a little smooth?
  • + 1
flag mathewgehman (Mar 19, 2009 at 10:30)
cause they have a very wide foot print to stay on top of the sand instead of just digging big holes...

well paddles only help if you're going straight right? sure they'll have mad grip for accelerating or braking, but as soon as you try to turn, it looks like you'd just drift, but idk. never researched trophy trucks, dune buggys, quads, motos, etc..

flag me-likey-DH (May 14, 2009 at 1:30)
They are BFG Projects and are used for more than just sand

flag thatdownhillkid (May 14, 2009 at 21:18)
yeah. been researching alot lately. those aren't even sand tires really. just like loose over hardpack. there's this pattern, and then theres a tall knob pattern. without the little squiggly line in the middle, and gnalier side knobs.

yeah.. this is the single most popular tire. in the world of baja. they're like.. the nevegals or minions of the baja scene.

flag stinkybigd (May 14, 2009 at 21:25)
those are BFG bajas. probally around a 36" tire there. definately big enough
  • + 0
flag thatdownhillkid (May 16, 2009 at 16:17)
yeah. BFG baja TT tires. I think they're 35s. but could be 37. they don't make a 36. 33,35,37 only.

They are not bajas they are called projects only companys or pro drivers can get them, if they were projects it would say so on the side. Its the same tread pattern and design, but better integrity and differnt sidewall plys

flag me-likey-DH (May 17, 2009 at 15:17)

real pro comp trucks are up to $1000000. there frames are hand made. i could see this one at $80000 at the most, its not a pro truck
  • + 1
flag stinkybigd (Oct 14, 2008 at 18:26)
an actual trophy truck costs around $250,000-$1,000,000. check out this site if your really interested in them. and all frames are hand made. it would probaly take them 3-5 months just for the frame.
