I don't understand bottlerockets. Less travel than dh bikes, yet usually more weight, and no stronger. A bit pointless imo.

correct not everyone wants/can afford full on dh bikes, i know i downsized because mine was just too heavy and if you are a good enough rider you don't need 8 inches of travel to ride well (there wasn't a hidden meaning to that, you dirty minded buggers )
