They have used Carbon for it's strength properties and ignored any weight saving benefits. This this massively over built. The bike shown is over 43lbs and at different parts of the frame, 4-6 times stronger than an equivalent Aluminium version. So if you snap this, you really need to learn how to ride.

wow what a fuking gay comment...using your same reasoning, would a boxxer world cup be gay too? it runs on air... its all about what you like to ride, if you preffer air shocks over coil and have the time and money to keep them well tuned then go for it...also, air shocks are a lot lighter and on some courses, that really matters. Here in chile i know the are not very popular because they need more maintenance than coil shocks, and most riders here just wont put up with it...
