very dumb, but in all fairness to the cops anyone who runs is in there mind running for a reason,there not used to peopel running for jumping the car they probably thaught he would of just stoped so they assumed he had drugs,wheapon who knows.its there job to use certain forces in that situation its not like they were gona shoot him there just protecting themselves from someone who is running from them. they dont take chances,dont f*ck with cops.

That's nice, you don't count this as a potential threat. Who cares? Are you a cop? I don't think so. If the cops see a guy run, there's potential that he's running because he has something on him that he does not want the cops to catch him with. That could be drugs, stolen property, or weapons. Taking chances gets cops killed.

Good form, a police officer drawing his sidearm to train it on a possibly armed suspect who fled the scene of a crime. A lot of people carry knives with them everywhere, I know I do, so this police officer is following proper SOP by having his gun out. You people really don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Please, before you go insulting the intelligence level of Americans, learn to use proper punctuation and grammar, otherwise you're being extremely hypocritical.
1.) He failed to use a space after the comma in the middle of his sentence; 2.) he used an apostraphe where none needed to be used; 3.) he failed to capitalize the "A" in the second instance of "Americans;" 4.) he used a comma where no comma was neccessary. Also, he used "there" when he should have used "their."
The cop has his sidearm drawn because the rider tried to get away. When cops see a potential criminal run, they have to assume that he has something to hide. Innocent people don't run.

Now, this is not to be confused with stupid; naivety is the case when people who don't have all the facts assume that they know everything about what's being presented to them, and then they use their "knowledge" to form judements and jump to conclusions. You have to put yourself in the shoes of the cops. They've been trained to pursue anyone who runs from the scene of a crime. Like I've said too many times before, innocent people don't run.

They pulled out their guns because he fled. If a guy runs from the cops, they assume that he's got something to hide. i have to agree 100% with seraph here. it's really kind of sad that the police get such a bad rap for what they do. they're out there every single day risking their lives to protect the communities they live in and the only thing they ever hear is "f*ck the police!!" or "go back to the donut shop you f*cking pig!"
it's pathetic, it really is. a cop can get shot doing a routine traffic stop because some a*shole with a gun doesn't want a 35 dollar ticket.
i don't know the entire story here but just because this guy was riding a bike while breaking the law doesn't mean he's an angel who got busted "for no good reason by the f*cking pigs who have nothing better to do". after reading the story it seems like the cops were called to the scene because of a couple of guys who were breaking the law by committing vandalism (yes, jumping your bike on a car is vandalism) and then fled from the scene...doesn't really project innocence. the cops pulled out the guns for their own protection and not because they "want to show off how big their dicks are". just because a cop pulls out a gun does not imply police brutality. all it means is that they're keeping the suspect under control in case he does have a weapon on him.
