It's in two different pieces, and when they are aligned correctly (like in this camera angle) it looks like one whole confusing piece.

The piece that looks out of place is actually two pieces. It doesn't go thro the piece of wood that you think it does, it's cut just before and at the same angle as the piece coming out the other end, does that make any sense? The only thing I don't get is the watch...
