Just for the record - the rim survived in a surprisingly good state, especially since it was without any rubber half way from the top. The tire is (because it's still usable) Nokian (Suomitires) Gazza AM 2.3 with folding bead so... it was supposed to be for my AM bike anyway ;-P
And yes, Majza finished the run, came in fifth (should have been first by a mile ;-) but you should have seen how angry he was.

the tube looks brand new like its never been pumped up haha, its like he just put it on and forgot to pump it up
did he have to hit any drops/jumps on just the rim. if so and if Andrei13Street is correct that "And his rim wasn't even that bent" then those are the f***in sickest wheels ever and i want a set
The thing is, look at the tube, it's all flat like a new one that's never been inflated, I hate to be a killjoy but maybe fake? If it isn't, major props to the rider but there's just this little doubt in my mind...
Dude ever thought the tube has gone like because he had a pinch flat or a complete blow out? They can put huge slashes in your tubes, obviously it's gunna look flat!

after i noticed the tire i noticed that you need to cut your fork stem down a bit or put the spacers below the riser. its good for your rim when you dont use tires haha
Sorry, I didn't have the time to cut the steerer so far because Majza is using the bike all the time ;-P

haha i looked at this like 6 hours ago and thought this would be great for POD, it's nice to see for a change instead of seeing all the pro's flawlessness we can see there determination and their compassion for our sport we can see that there not perfect and that's what alot of us think about, is how good or how perfect they are i mean hey there human too they have bad days just like us and they have accidents just like us , this is great
He should really get a new mechanic. Just tying the tire and tube to the bike is a pretty lazy way to set up for a race. Installing both on the rim would be a lot better. I mean, if he just wrapped his shifter cables and housing around his arm...

there is no way in hell that he made it down the hil without a tyre. i mean look at his angle. with no tyre on the rear wheel i bet he came right off.
I shot Majza with burst mode on in my camera about 200m from the finish gate and yelled "keep pedalling 4 f*k sake! the company is gonna get you new wheels!" and he actually did put his best effort to pedal as hard as he could to get to the end of the trail even quicker ;-)

he said yesterday that it was alright that only a few minor dents and everything and that thoes rims were going on his other bike anyway
i did that with my chain going down a hill and my wheel locked and straight over the handlebars lol quite funni

what a badass. this reminds me of one of my friends from ecuador who finished a race without a chain. it broke about 300 yards into the trail and he finished 3rd. some people are just too damn good.
