Highering it gives you better pedaling efficiency and doesn't compromise how your body bends to sit on the bike, all the hate towards XC guys is just ignorant. Would they moan to you about slamming your seat for DJ/Street, no. So neither should you moan about how it looks bad, and take into consideration how it helps them perform. If it didn't help them they wouldn't run it that way.

i like how my seat is but if i needed to higher it i would
